I've never seen a Mexican eating a burrito.. seen about 300 million eating corn tortilla tacos tho...
You apparently haven't spent much time in the Southwest. Don't get it twisted, tacos and on the side for plates is all about the corn tortillas but plenty of Mexican folks eat flour tortillas in the burrito form... And don't get me started on the massive amount of saltines that go with the shrimp cocktails.

i like saltines.. juss not wiff shrimp..
i like prawns.. juss not with crackas..

i prefer the corn torilla... but flour has its place... SW mexicans would agree..

the aussie taste buds be so bad,... mackdonalds actually approved the el maco out of they test kitchen...yes they sold it as the el maco... i ate one when it came to market.. it literally was sour cream and taco sauce added to a big mac... now i like sour cream and taco sauce... but there was no other spices on that burger to balance dat flavor out.. one of the worst things i eva ate... maccas has never brought it back... but it must have gotten enough love from the strayans during test marketing for dey to feel comfortable about selling em in the first place..

I'm telling you, go into any real Mexican restaurant where they serve a big shrimp cocktail and they will be eating that shit with a dozen saltine crackers...

The saltines are good with small shrimp for a shrimp cocktail, not your regular steakhouse sized ones. The one at the Golden Gate casino in Las Vegas is awesome.

Godammit!!!!

But wait!!!

"Regulars of Du-Par's, which is best known for its diner-style food, including its pancakes, can still visit its other Las Vegas locations, inside the Suncoast in the west valley. The chain has four locations in California, where it was founded in 1938.
The Golden Gate site had been operating since 2010, and the Suncoast location opened last year."

That is good news for locals, but Suncoast is 5 miles off the strip, I never rent a car in Vegas, and I'm not cabbing it all the way out there. As far as I know the shrimp cocktail special was only at the Golden Gate location, subsidized by the casino.

If you read the comment section of the Sun article they are discussing the days of Vegas cheap eats are vanishing fast. They are already messing with free valet parking and free drinks. The mob was better to the gambler than corporation with shareholders. Remind me again, which ones are the vicious psychopathic killers?

No, it has a name it's called a hot dog. A ham sandwich also has a name it called a ham sandwich, so it's a sandwich.

Sandwiches:
steak sandwich
reuben sandwich
sub sandwich
breakfast sandwich
grilled cheese sandwich

Not sandwiches:
Hamburger
Hot dog
Gyro
Slice of pizza
Edited to add: Taco

Things have names, respect the names.

His name is Robert Paulson.

So a Torta is not a sandwich? Nor is a patty melt or hamburger?

I already covered the hamburger, check my post you quoted. torta and patty melt, well played.

If anyone ever hears anyone say 'hamburger sandwich' please let me know, I will drag their ignorant ass to Logan Square.

I consider them all, including tacos and burritos to be sandwiches of sorts-or relatives of the sandwich.

What I mean is, they are in the same spirit of the supposed legend of the sandwich-the bread to keep your hands from getting messy.
