Kirk for Outlaw + Blake + Rodriguez

whereas Blake will likely be looking for a bigger contract and a more significant role on a team which he could likely get on another team.

IFF blake can play off the ball, he might be a nice compliment to rose. he might see some minutes at shooting guard and some minutes at back up point.

i dont think portland would trade blake and rodriguez and outlaw.

outlaw is a very key component to their core. Isn't his contract getting over soon? wouldn't he be looking for either a bigger role or a bigger contract? i'm not sure there is room on our team for blake, outlaw, salmons, gordon/deng.

Yeah that batum being the next scottie pippen thing was absurd but that's how portland thinks of their players that's why I'm not surprised a deal never went down unless where tryin to get nothing but expirings from them I think a deal would be diffiicult and while I'm not the biggest kirk fan I think he's worth more than that so unless portland is willing too give us some kinda talent back id rather pass on dealing wit portland their already still laughing at us over da aldridge TT deal I wouldn't wanna give them kirk who's way better than steve blake. Let's be honest so all things bein equal if all where gettin back is expiring contracts id steer clear of dealing with portland

At the trade deadline, it was reported the Blazers were interested in a PG and a SF from the eastern conference. After much speculation, it was revealed it was Kirk and Luol Deng.

With Luol's injury and Kirk being.. Well, not as necessary anymore with Rose, I propose this 3-team trade, assuming Portland still would be interested in a Kirk/Luol combo;

Toronto Trades:

Chris Bosh ($14.4M)
Jason Kapono ($5.7M)

Total: roughly $20.4M

Toronto Receives:

Jerome James ($6.2M - 80% insurance covered)
Steve Blake ($4.2M - Unguarenteed for next season)
Travis Outlaw ($4.0M - Unguarenteed for next season)
Tyrus Thomas ($3.7M)
Jerryd Bayless ($1.9M)
Chicago's two 1st rounders
2009 2nd rounder from Portland

Total: Roughly $20.0M

Portland Trades:

Steve Blake ($4.2M - Unguarenteed for next season)
Travis Outlaw ($4.0M - Unguarenteed for next season)
Channing Frye ($3.1M)
Jerryd Bayless ($1.9M)
2009 2nd rounder

Total: roughly 13.2M

Portland Receives:

Luol Deng ($9.4M)
Kirk Hinrich ($10.0M)

Total: roughly 19.4M

Chicago Trades:

Luol Deng ($9.4)
Kirk Hinrich ($10.0M)
Jerome James ($6.2M)
Tyrus Thomas ($3.7)
Both 1st rounders

Total: roughly $29.3M

Chicago Receives:

Chris Bosh ($14.4M)
Jason Kapono ($5.7M)

Total: roughly $20.4M

Analysis:

Portland will be under the cap. Enough to take on the necessary extra salary for Deng and Kirk. If they wish, they can send back Sergio Rodriguez whom we can absorb. Portland trumps out a Hinrich/Roy/Deng/Aldridge/Oden-Fernandez/Webster/Przybilla rotation next season.

Toronto receives instant salary relief by getting $8.2 million worth of unguarenteed contracts (as well as an 80% covered Jerome James deal, despite that working against the cap). They get Tyrus and Jerryd Bayless plus three picks in the 2009 NBA Draft. It's quite a package they take back.

Bulls do this for two reasons. They get Chris Bosh, and they clear enough salary to make a pitch for Ben Gordon. They'll probably have to make a few tweeks to stay under the tax, but this move is the ground work. Bulls would still hang onto Tim Thomas and Brad Miller, which is about $17.3 million in expiring contracts - Easily moved at the 2010 deadline, if we wish.

Trail Blazers

C Greg Oden/Joel Przybilla
F LaMarcus Aldridge
F Luol Deng/Rudy Fernandez
G Brandon Roy/Rudy Fernandez
G Kirk Hinrich/Brandon Roy

Raptors

C Andrea Bargnani
F Tyrus Thomas
F Shawn Marion (perhaps?)
G Anthony Parker
G Jose Calderon

+ Several picks and their own desire to either keep or release Travis Outlaw and Steve Blake.

Bulls

C Joakim Noah/Brad Miller
F Chris Bosh/Joakim Noah
F John Salmons/Jason Kapono
G Ben Gordon/John Salmons/Jason Kapono
G Derrick Rose/Ben Gordon/FA

REMEMBER: This all hangs on Portland being willing to use their cap space in absorbing Kirk and Luol.

to the above trade...It looks good, but Raptors our left with a real low post threat. Tyrus has yet to develop a low post game and i think they will seriously miss that with Bosh. Other than that, they recieve a lot of talent. I think you ask Portland to give to much up for Hinrich and Gordon though. I really doubt they let go of Bayless because i think they said they were fixed on him. And where would Frye go??

I forgot to add him.

Frye is a wild-card. He can go to Toronto if they desire him more than one of Outlaw or Blake. Whoever remains of Outlaw/Blake, goes to Chicago.

HTC cellphones-> I purchased a HTC hero about 2 years ago as my crackberry kept breaking. The hero itself was the the "Android phone" for sprint. The phone was good till about 6 months in it kept slowing down and lagged quite a bit. I eventually upgraded because of the 5 minutes it took to right a simple text message; from start to finish.

Last June I purchased an HTC Evo 4g. This will be the last HTC item I ever purchase. The phone worked well for about 6 months. My only issues were the battery life (had to charge every 4-6 hours if I was using it quite a bit) and the 4G which I was only able to get good quality from when I was closer to the city. I had to pay extra on my plan for the 4G, which now isn't even usable as they are going towards the 4G LTE. The next issue that came up was the USB charger port started to disintegrate. After a while, I would have to bend the cord a certain way to get a charge. It got to the point where I was wrapping the cord around the phone to keep it at that angle. I'm now on my 2nd HTC Evo, this one is a GRADE A REFURBISHED phone from Best buys Geek squad. Not even a month in and I'm at the same junction with the USB port. I thought maybe this was my own doing, but this phone it seems is notorious for this malfunction. I think tomorrow I'm going to (as I have an upgrade) purchase either an Iphone4 or the Galaxy II made by Samsung for $100 at best buy.

Eh I had the HTC Evo for 2 years, and never had that problem come up. Kinda weird, I never heard about that problem and HTC is usually know for their production quality of their phones. But I agree with the battery life not being too good. And paying more for 4g, what you're really paying for is unlimited data, as they're the only carrier left that offers it without already being grandfathered in (which I believe is AT&T) and with Verizon getting rid of their unlimited plan now as well.

Just got the new EVO LTE and while the LTE isn't available yet (think late August for Chicago and surrounding suburbs), the battery life is great, the screen is amazing and camera is really good as well. The only real downside, and this is the same for any Sprint phone right now, is that 3g isn't all that great. I know they've got network upgrades in the works which should come up in the coming months, but right now their data, while unlimited, is probably the slowest when compared to Verizon, ATT&T, T-Mobile,etc.

If it isn't available yet how do you have it?

I appreciate that review as I am torn between Droid and the Iphone. The issue with the 4G was it was such a battery drainer that I didn't even keep it on when I could.

The USB port issue I googled and it seemed to exist outside of myself. If I hadn't I was going to look into what I was doing that was continually fucking it up. But, everyones experience is different.

I've been looking around at Iphone and Droid phones and it's currently stuck between the Galaxy series or Iphone series (haven't decided how much money I want to spend).

My main issue with the LTE, which isn't really and LTE issue but I was sold that "4G was the next big step in technology" and they essentially scrapped it within a year.

Phone speed isn't really an issue anymore as I've been using 3G forever and don't have much issue with it anyways.

This one may be a well-known thing amongst many, but I guess I learned late. I did a marketing gig for Kodak at one point in my career (the "specialist" who helps you at Best Buy or Wal-Mart) and the training was on the marketing points of Kodak printers. At the time, the black ink was 10 bucks and the color was 15 bucks. I bought a used Kodak ESP 5 all-in-one from someone on craigslist a few years ago, thinking they still had the cheapest ink in the business. What they didn't tell me when they trained me, (or print anywhere online) was that I didn't get very many pages out of a cartridge, and even though I never used color printing, I had to replace the color cartridge every other time I replaced the black. DO NOT BUY A KODAK PRINTER. The cost of the ink has gone up a bit, but you still don't get anywhere near the number of pages that you get out of the more expensive brand cartridges.

Until Android phones correct their lack of security issues, best to stay away or do not use then with personal and financial info. That is all.

Good to know as I was thinking about getting a printer after I move.

But those gentlemen from Nigeria seem to be quite genuine!

Yep, they're very credible.

In fact, right now I'm waiting for the $500,00 I get for helping a nice gentleman send $2M to the U.S.

I mean, I had send $10,000 up front, but I'm sure the money they are sending will arrive any day now.

Signed,

I have a GakaxyS and I'm not a big fan of it to be honest. The wireless settings always kick out on me and it seems to have a mind of it's own sometimes. Goes from auto-text to normal text on it's own and that's frustrating. Camera isn't very good either. If it wasn't for free I wouldn't be using it. Others with the phone probably don't have these issues...but since I do I don't like it. Funny because I am a samsung guy and have never had issues with any other products of theirs.

Maybe it's just because you are a loser?

I for one just got my Samsung Galaxy S3 the other day fresh off the presses and luuuuuurves it! So pretty. I almost, almost decided to go with the HTC One X even after AT&T finally started taking pre-orders for the S3 but in the end the HTC One X had qualities I abhor that I knew I wouldn't be able to "get over". Namely lack of memory card slot and the inability to change the battery one's self because of the one-piece composite case design. These are the types of user unfriendly specs that drive me insane in an Apple product LOATHING way. These are basic, minimum options/specs IMO. It takes a lot of fucking hubris with the countless models available these days and every year's new debuts to not offer memory upgrading and user battery replacement. Additionally, I am suspect about the HTC "Touch" UI that they install on all their phones. The One X is so fucking gorgeous and sweet though that I had genuine emotional lapses of clarity and moments where I thought I could get past these things and almost just ordered it but as I love my Galaxy S3 I am ecstatic that my cooler head always prevailed and I didn't.

I've decided to switch over to the Iphone and I can't decide if I should get the 4 or spend the 100 extra bucks for the 4s.

I would wait for the 5, but my EVO is literally in the stages of death and any day could be it's last.
