I say this because it's sounding like the Blazers are going to amnesty Roy.

If he's healthy, I think he would fit well with Rose. A rose/Roy/Deng/Boozer/Noah lineup doesn't shound bad either.

But with his injury history.. is it even worth it?

He's a hell of a player...when he's healthy. I'm not sure it's a risk I'd be willing to take. This team is just a piece away from really being a yearly contender for the foreseeable future. I'd rather go with someone a bit more reliable.

Yeah, of course he is worth looking at. It's up to him to prove that he can stay productive and stick to a physical therapy plan designed for his needs(and to save his career).

Just because he is worth looking at, doesn't make him a frontrunner for our needs though.

I say give him a look. Whether what he expects contract wise might falter my plan for him, but I suggest the Bulls sign him to a 1-2yr deal and use him as a role player until he can prove that he can play every night again (if possible).

Rose, Roy, Deng, Boozer, Noah. :bullbang:

It's a huge risk with his health but if he managed to play a majority of the games with no lingering issues, he could be a steal. But like most injury prone players in the NBA, that rarely happens. He might end up tripping over a gym bag answering the door and break his wrist....

I have faith that TT will find the right guy.

Definitely worth a look. Health is obviously an issue, but he's an upgrade even at 75%. Ha...if we got Afflalo and Roy we'd be pretty set at SG (probably give up Brewer and Korver in some sort of deal to get Afflalo away from the Nuggets).

I think his knees would make him the equivalent of Tracy McGrady to me. So T-Mac and Roy are the same player at this point. Roy's doctors advised him to retire.

It depends what price Roy would demand and how many years on his contract that he would require. He would probably be worth the risk for something like a 3-yr/15M contract if the team can unload Kyle Korver's contract. With no knees, Roy is still just as good of a player as Kyle Korver.

It's hard to see Roy as anything more than a sixth man who plays 20 min/gm though.

McGrady is old with some knee and back issues while Roy is young with major issues in both knees. It's clear that Roy has a lot more upside than McGrady at this point.

I would try it.

Neither Afflalo or Smith will help us beat the Heat. I just can´t see it.

But Roy would be the best SG in the league if he stayed healthy.

It´s risky, but so is Deng. And he managed to play a full season.

On a sidenote, this hasn´t been a long time ago:
