does anyone else have a feeling that the bulls are gonna walk away with someone who really won't help us at all

It wouldn't be out of the norm.
Pax isn't the most creative guy and always brings in players that are about to retire, or no names that are left over at Sanford and Sons salvage yard.
Maybe hell bring back Malik Allen or Luke Schencher......Or worse, PARGO.

A couple years ago I would have said yes. Now I have a bit for faith. They put together a pretty good team and I'm sure GarPax know what this team needs.

They will get someone to fit the mold of the team, just don't be expecting them to hit a home run. With Noah going into the first year of his huge extension & Rose's coming up after this season, the FO is not going to rope themselves into any long term deals. Rose is going to make total bank on his extension. In fact, it's actually called the "Derrick Rose Clause" in the new CBA, so I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't use the mid-level exception at all.

Edit: If we do use the MLE, I imagine it won't all be on 1 player.

Yea cuz he's so wired into the Bulls FO. I don't see how it could be a "dream" to land him when the dude has almost no cartilage left in BOTH his knees. I have bad knees & I've only had 1 major knee surgery. I had to stop playing competitive ball when I was 25 because it would hurt to even get out of the bed the next morning. And I'm not playing in the NBA. Granted he has better doctors, better physical therapy, & so on, but once your knees start going it is the death sentence to a basketball player. There's a reason we didn't take him in the '06 draft, & it wasn't because Gordon was on the team.

The "dream" should be to get Kevin Martin (via trade obviously). He is the big, athletic guard that this team has needed for years.
