...or does he need Jerry Rice and Randy Moss?

If Poles got good value on the trade down, your selection should be a no-brainer. If not, Poles' WR evaluations are suspect because of Chase Claypool and DJ Moore.

How confident are you in WR1 DJ Moore and WR2 Chase Claypool?

Let's be honest, Mooney is a back up on a REAL team.

Mooney will get extended before Claypool
I think it would be great if Claypool actually did something and wasn't a glorified Kevin White just in on snaps to block or look like he's doing whatever.

it would really be nice if Claypool wasn't permanently a #3 receiver, really.

An offseason with Fields/Moore/Mooney and Claypool learning to play together should help

In a world where teams are throwing out combos like Hill/Waddle, Smith/Brown, Chase/Higgins and such, having Moore/Mooney/Claypool is a nice spot to be. Having Moore come in takes the pressure off both Mooney and Claypool to be that #1 guy, so along with some Fields improved short-game passing, we could easily so one of those guys explode as a result. Whichever one does will likely get extended and the other will walk if he's also had a really good year, which is fine, good problem to have.

Dj Moore is a joke and so was that trade that all of the CCS idiots are drooling about.

You take another pick instead of helping Carolina out with a cap problem aging WR.

It does kinda seem like Moore might have been "buyers remorse" for Carolina...and they passed that buck to Poles.

If I'm not mistaken, Carolinas GM has only held the job for 2 years and may have "corrected" a rookie mistake.

Here's the thing, you start a thread like this only to illicit some reaction. At some point, you're going to complain about the reaction that you wanted in the first place. Rinse. Repeat.

I haven't even read any other post in this thread and I have a feeling I know where it is going.

He’s a great player and an excellent human being off the field. His contract will look cheap when some of new wide receiver extensions get completed.

You will defend any player with a Bears uniform. You actually argued with me over Christian Jones at one point.

Do you think Carolina unloaded some cap on us? Is DJ Moore worth that contact?

I'm getting the feeling a good WR got a star contact which Carolina thought better of after the fact...and unloaded it on Poles.

@dennehy has a better grasp of the cap than most in here but I believe panthers took a cap hit for trading him similar to the one bears did cutting the roster fat last year

I'm no cap expert either. We'll see what he has to say. A discussion rather than pettiness would be welcome by me.
