Yes I have.

Obviously, the Panthers have to give something to get something...but do you wonder why the Panthers traded him?
Have you read any of the background on the trade? The Panthers didn’t want to trade him. They wanted to give Poles a 2025 first round pick instead. If they wanted the first pick, they had to cough up Moore.

Their owner wanted the pick, so they gave Poles Moore.

Care to make a wager?

I say whatever QB Carolina picks in the draft, will have more passing yards in his first year, than Justin Fields had in his second. And don't give me the whole " JF had no weapons, JF had no OL crapola" People on here are already saying the Carolina pick will be a top 10 pick.

Put up

or

Shut up.

what dumb parameters but i shouldn't be surprised with who its coming from

WEll, the question is worded poorly................

Should be......................................

Is Justin Fields a good enough QB for DJ Moore?

Time will tell. No excuses for JF not finally surpassing 4000 yds passing this year.

I kind of answered this similarly but in a more positive Bears fan response.

hopefully with another year in the system, an improved OL and the addition of Moore,
Fields processes quicker and throws with some anticipation.
This will elevate both Fields and Moores game.

Yes, it is dumb parameters, because JF gets the advantage of using his second year stats.
I am going to be more than amused watching posters trip over themselves for excuses on this wager...............

Poles turned down a first round pick for DJ Moore? That's going to be hilarious next year. The same guy who brought us Chase Claypool.

Also, do you think we can pencil Moore in for 1,000 yards and 10 TDs?

You can’t pencil in anyone for those numbers. The NFL is a brutal sport so injuries are always a possibility. TDs tend to be an arbitrary number for wideouts. Julio Jones was one of the greatest receivers in the NFL but did not always score a large number of touchdowns.

If he’s healthy all year, Moore will crack 1,000 yards.

Because they sent an overpaid WR to Poles for the number 1 overall.

If DJ Moore was a star in the making, they wouldn't have traded him.
Right. They did all of this to draft Peter Skoronski.

I admire your commitment to the bit. I only lasted a month or two with my The Hawk bit.

@dennehy has a better grasp of the cap than most in here but I believe panthers took a cap hit for trading him similar to the one bears did cutting the roster fat last year
Panthers will eat about $15m.

The Bears need to spend a lot of money in cash in 2023 to meet the 90% rule, so the $20m in 23 is fine, and then it's like $16m and $15m in 24 and 25. These are ridiculously low numbers for a proven #1. His AAV over the next three years is is probably 60-70% of other #1 WRs on their second or third contracts.

I have been a big fan of Moore's since his time at Maryland. I have a 'type' for WR, and he's it, along with Deebo Samuel, CeeDee Lamb, and Jamar Chase (not saying Moore is as good as Chase). These dude are built like RBs, can catch it in traffic, threaten all levels, have great RAC ability and can get separation. They don't need great QBs to be successful, which is why I liked them as prospects.

I would say that Chase, Jefferson, Hill, Cupp, Brown, Samuel and Adams are clearly better than Moore.

I'd put him in the next group, with Diggs, Lamb, Waddle, Metcalf, Devonta Smith, Wilson, Olave, Johnson, Cooper, and Evans.

So at worst a top 18 WR, probably more like 12.

Why would that be hilarious next year?

The first rounder wouldn't even be drafted until 2025, when Fields is on his 5th year option.

He's going where WRs go to die.

Look at Claypool and Mooney’s production from last year to the year prior. Sure Mooney got injured, but he was off to a horrible start.
Justin Fields and the current staff have nothing to do with any of the quarterback history or WRs of the Chicago Bears.

What you had was a second year QB that got appreciably better under a brand new coaching staff. Not giving Justin Fields better WRs is a sure way to prevent improvement out of your QB. It would be offensive malpractice not to improve your team at that position. They brought in a consistently healthy and productive WR still well in his prime.

Your contract numbers are disingenuous because you only provided a one year snap shot.

If you want to present yourself as giving a well thought out argument you may want to have looked at the entire contract. My guess; you did and saw it did not favor your discussion so you lied to yourself and only presented favorable data.

Only presenting favorable information to your discussion is how spineless weasel's debate. Your argument about Moore's contract is void of any insight or wisdom.

Hill had 1700 yards.

Can I expect 1200 from Moore and 7 TDs?
I think Moore will be right around 1,200 yards. I have no idea how many TDs he’ll score.

Last season Kmet had as many receiving TDs as Hill and one less than Jefferson. Receiving TDs tend to an arbitrary number.
