Justin Fields and the current staff have nothing to do with any of the quarterback history or WRs of the Chicago Bears.

What you had was a second year QB that got appreciably better under a brand new coaching staff. Not giving Justin Fields better WRs is a sure way to prevent improvement out of your QB. It would be offensive malpractice not to improve your team at that position. They brought in a consistently healthy and productive WR still well in his prime.

Your contract numbers are disingenuous because you only provided a one year snap shot.

If you want to present yourself as giving a well thought out argument you may want to have looked at the entire contract. My guess; you did and saw it did not favor your discussion so you lied to yourself and only presented favorable data.

Only presenting favorable information to your discussion is how spineless weasel's debate. Your argument about Moore's contract is void of any insight or wisdom.
Modo…

“Spineless weasel” You’re being kind!

Your final sentence is valid for almost every argument this guy presents in this forum.

Have you read any of the background on the trade? The Panthers didn’t want to trade him. They wanted to give Poles a 2025 first round pick instead. If they wanted the first pick, they had to cough up Moore.

Their owner wanted the pick, so they gave Poles Moore.
Also, please link where Poles turned down a first.

I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I'd like to see that.

For BR since it’s so hard to find. This guy (above) covers the Panthers for The Athletic.

Also, from Yahoo Sports:

If the Bears were going to trade the most-coveted asset in the NFL now instead of waiting to drive up the price, Moore had to be in the deal. The Bears insisted on his inclusion, and by putting Moore in the deal, the Panthers avoided giving up a first-round pick in 2025.

Getting the Panthers to throw Moore into the trade makes it a haul. The 25-year-old receiver can make this an unprecedented robbery by Poles.

Who said it was hard to find? You said it happened, so I figured it'd be readily available. Sheesh, don't be so defensive towards me. I'm not out to get you.

So now we have confirmation that Poles targeted Claypool and Moore - we'll see how good of a WR evaluator he is. And by extention...how good of a GM he is in the early going.

WEll, the question is worded poorly................

Should be......................................

Is Justin Fields a good enough QB for DJ Moore?

Time will tell. No excuses for JF not finally surpassing 4000 yds passing this year.
Well if the line still blows ass, that might be an issue. Not every team has a Detroit, Philly or KC offensive line

The last two years of his contract, if he keeps up his production, are priced nicely.
If he does not keep up his production, the cause is obvious. His receiving yards would have equated for more than 40% of Fields passing yards last season.
