In all seriousness, I mean, you guys have heard him talk.

Definitely an awkward guy who conversation doesn't come naturally to. Doesn't mean he can't be a good GM, but I'm fine with calling a spade a spade.
don't see the awkwardness at all

Lol, no.

Poles has a chance to be many times a better GM than Pace, but Poles clearly struggles talking in front of a group and being personable. Have you heard him in radio interviews and press conferences? He's clearly not comfortable---It does not come natural to him the way it does for a lot of execs.

Compare that to Pace, who sucked and was full of shit, but knew how to spin a yarn, flow with a conversation and knew beat reporters' kids.

Again, none of that is to say Poles can't be a better GM than Pace. But if someone is asking whether Poles is anti-social, there's enough evidence that such a question isn't an outlandish out-of-left-field thing.
WTF are you talking about? He has held more impromptu press conferences in his first season then the entirety of Ryan Pace's 7 yr stint as GM. Because he doesn't try to convince you a turd is a brownie like Pace always did and say how neat this is and how neat that is doesn't make him antisocial, it makes him factual.

Bears general manager Ryan Poles conducted an impromptu press conference Tuesday after making two significant deals hours before the NFL's 3 p.m. (CT) trade deadline.

Yeah, what a wall flower

Now you want to talk antisocial, the guy to Poles right...

or hey maybe the guy hiding behind the door?

Really? Wow!

In regards to the OP,
1. Poles signed both those guys in FA before he lost them to circumstance.
2. Like the trade or not, Poles made the trade for Claypool in a bidding war against other teams.
3. Mr. Antisocial made 4 trades in his 1st draft as GM.
4. He's been 100 x more personable and forthcoming than our previous GM.
5. Roquan's contract was not a 'good deal' from a team perspective. Is that top pay LB in the Pro Bowl?
6. Kiper never said that, Mr Bait and Switch. He decided to have zero trades in his 1st mock.

It's ludicrous to even suggest that a sincere, well connected, personable executive like Poles is antisocial. This one's content is actually as bad as the title and actually worse than the usual clickbait titles that sometimes have viable suppositions.
Ask Jenkins how he feels about a personable executive like Poles.

As for the bait and switch, re-read Kiper’s paragraph here:

“I thought long and hard about a trade here, with the Colts, Raiders and Panthers as the top candidates to move up for a quarterback. And if I’m Chicago general manager Ryan Poles and I can move down a few spots, add premium picks and still get my choice of the best defensive prospects, I’d make a deal. It takes two teams to make a trade, however, and that’s never a guarantee. For now, let’s stick with the Bears keeping this pick.”

WOW. I guess you prefer platitudes and bullshit to actual considered speech with some content to actually answer a question. Listen to any beat guy or podcast about the comparison and they've all mentioned it.
Poles has been full of BS in press conferences this season lmao. I’ve made fun of that in most of the click bait here.

So a quote that verifies what I said, LOL. It's not a prediction. He had no trades in his mock and obviously had to cover his ass as to why for the most obvious one. Dude. Comprehension is 1/2 your job, especially when all your stories are glommed off other articles. I get that this is literary practice for you but it doesn't change the rules unless your desire is to become the new Mariotti.

Jenkins never needed to hear shit from Poles. That's the coaches job and that's where the communication problem was, seemingly on purpose. Not like they were busy at the start of camp during a rebuild or anything but that Poles felt the need to intervene and had that Powow with Jenkins, trying to calm the waters, is not a negative. Did Jenkins then accept the move inside and how'd that turn out?

But that's not the drama you need for clicks. Now tell us how you prefer Pace.

I know that you're not in the circle but reach out to some genuine beat writers and see what they think of Poles as communicator.

Poles said it wasn’t a rebuild. It was a fixer-upper. He said that around the time that he wanted to draft playmakers for fields.

How is that predictive? He simply decided to not go there. Come on, man, do you really think Mel believes the 1st round will not have any trades? Really?

LOL. George didn't want to use that term and Poles complied. It's a running joke. Again, you don't understand the gig.

Yeah I do, that’s why I don’t take his “forthcoming” press conferences as gospel.
Who takes everything said in a press conference as gospel anyway... but 'rebuild' is your taken as gospel tipping point?
And the quote is "more forthcoming" than our old GM.
