I have to believe they'll turn it on for the playoffs, especially if there's a chance #88 can come back and provide a boost..Wont be easy, best effort sorely needed, Hawks in 6...

We need more Mr. Jones (and bookjones!!!) hockey thoughts! !!

I think I'd rather see the Preds than Blues only as a 5-7 game series against the Blues really wears a team down physically.

That said, Nashville won't be an easy battle, but they are beatable. Just have to turn their games up a level like they typically do come playoffs and good things will happen.

Hawks in 6. Hossa and Toews lead the way. Versteeg, Pickles, and Vermy remain Irrelevant.

This team has always needed more than playoffs to turn it on.

They usually face elimination 3-1 before they turn it on. They shouldn't even bring Kane back until they have lost 2. Let him warm up and lose 3. Then its go time.

Its also Bickel time baby!!

Still maintaining that Kane won't skate til Game 3, but this news is certainly encouraging. I imagine we'll find out a lot more at practice tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind that.

Hawks recalled Cumiskey and Raanta?

You will see this often around this time. A lot of teams like to carry 3 goalies for practice reasons since the starting goalie usually heads off early. Also, Cumiskey is a guy that Q seems to like and be comfortable with...personally, I think he has played better than Rundblad/Rozsival when he got a chance to play.

Also, for a NHL player to be able to play in the AHL playoffs, they must be on the AHL roster at a certain point in the season (I believe near/at the trade deadline). I don't know if Cumiskey and Raanta were up with the Blackhawks at this time but that often plays into call ups at this point.

I don't mind Runblad's offensive game, but that's about it.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I hope that I am totally wrong but I don't see the Hawks going very far this year. This is as bad as I have seen their offense in a long long time. I liked the moves they made after Kane went out but thus far, everything looks slow and inefficient to me. And losing Richards also hurt in my mind.

I'll admit t that I know less about hockey than other sports and maybe someone can educate me a bit about what is really going on but this team just cannot get anything going in front of the opponent goal. Again, I hope that I am wrong but they look like they are playing with anvils around their skates.
