I have no idea why, but I have a feeling that we're coming back
So word is2 weeks before Montero can start baseball activities. Add to that Baez is close to starting up again. So what will they do?
I can't see them demoting Schwarber again.
Now there are teams out there looking for catchers. Montero's value is soaring this season. So this is an option. Think Sea. And Minn. are both looking.
Tough call to be honest but Schwarber has put himself into this spot now.
This is really a tough watch. It's been a long time since I've seen a Cub team this dead with their bats.
No offense, but then you haven't been watching a lot of Cubs Baseball recently. This is their highest offensive output since 2011.
Of course, go for the "easy" play of runs scored which is marginally the same or higher than over the last few years but dead bats means you're leaving guys on base and with this year's team OBP the highest it's been since 2010...it's very evident. But to be completely honest, with all the runners they've stranded this year...I was surprised that their overall runs per game was as high as it was. Probably skewed a bit by the two 11s and the one 17 they put up.
