Warning track power for Rizzo and Bryant. They're due and they're gonna get out of their slumps soon

Damn, Addy barely foul! We're down 4-0 but we've made great contact on Leake so far

Bryant will adjust but this is what I told people to calm down about him. His line right now isn't much different then I thought it would be. I thought he would have a couple more fingers but the average is falling in line with the K's I expected.

So word is2 weeks before Montero can start baseball activities. Add to that Baez is close to starting up again. So what will they do?

I can't see them demoting Schwarber again.

Now there are teams out there looking for catchers. Montero's value is soaring this season. So this is an option. Think Sea. And Minn. are both looking.

Tough call to be honest but Schwarber has put himself into this spot now.

Baez will play in rehab games starting Thursday and could be back with Iowa in little over a week.

This is really a tough watch. It's been a long time since I've seen a Cub team this dead with their bats.

No offense, but then you haven't been watching a lot of Cubs Baseball recently. This is their highest offensive output since 2011.

Maddon ejected in 4th for arguing balk call

Cubs manager Joe Maddon was ejected by first-base umpire Adam Hamari in the bottom of the fourth inning in the first game of a doubleheader against the Reds at Great American Ball Park on Wednesday.

Let the Reds score all the runs they want this game. We weren't coming back. Get it out of their system so they only score a couple in the next game.

Im glad we don't play the Brewers next. They are scorching hot with the bats.

Of course, go for the "easy" play of runs scored which is marginally the same or higher than over the last few years but dead bats means you're leaving guys on base and with this year's team OBP the highest it's been since 2010...it's very evident. But to be completely honest, with all the runners they've stranded this year...I was surprised that their overall runs per game was as high as it was. Probably skewed a bit by the two 11s and the one 17 they put up.

In the past they've left tons of runners too. This is not new to the 2015 team.
