So can you translate the wager? like you bet how much on the Cubs to win and what is the top wager?

i needed both teams to win Cubs and Barcelona because it is called a multiple fixed fee, had Barcelona lost or draw or had the Cubs lost i'd have lost the money even if the other one would have won. The Cubs odds were 1.66, Barcelona 1.55. If we multiply 1.66 x 1.55 the result is 2.57 if we multiply 2.57 x 103= 265.01 this is how it works. You can't win more than 10.000 euro for each bet so the top wager depends on the odds of your teams

I think I get it. Here in the states we call it a parlay. You parlayed the odds of the Cubs which was -166 with the odds of Barcelona which was -155

yeah it was almoust one year that i don't bet, i was waiting for MLB to begin, i spent last season trying to understand the game and the players more, i watched almoust every Cubs game and many Mets, Giants, Yankees and White Sox games. I used to bet only european soccer, this season i add the MLB. I plan to watch more football games this upcoming season to learn more about the game and the players, i love it and i woud love to bet on it but i really know nothing about it. To work at night gives me the opportunity to follow americans sports almoust like an american

Was the game blacked out on MLB.tv for anyone else last night? Very weird, as I live in DC and as far as I could tell it wasn't a national broadcast. The only way I could watch was through At Bat on my phone.

That is so awesome! I love when Europeans take an interest in American sports!

The Cubs have a really good shot of having a fantastic April. The schedule is very very favorable for the first month.

7 games with the Reds who are supposed to be terrible

3 games with the Brewers who are supposed to be terrible

3 games with the Rockies (who unless I am mistaken aren't supposed to be anything special)

2 games with the Braves (the third game of the series is May 1st)

only tough match-up's (on paper) are 4 games with the D-backs and 3 with the Cardinals.

Cubs have a golden opportunity to get off to a fabulous start.

Strange. I watched it with my subscription in Mississippi with no problem.

Exactly! It's going to be a fun summer! Monday night's home opener isn't looking so hot, but I am used to freezing every home opener. Part of it :)

Even more strange is that I was able to watch the opener, which was being broadcast on ESPN2, but not last night's game.

It wasn't just you. I tried to watch on my Mac and it told me I was restricted. I live in Louisiana. I pulled up mlb app on my TV and worked fine. It wasn't until like the 5th inning it would work on my mac. MLB.tv is pretty horrible. This would happen to me last year. I e-mailed customer service over it. Got a response two weeks later that they would look into it. A year later and they still haven't fixed the problem.

I had no problem watching in St Louis. But now you have me worried we all might thru the summer at times.

Should be available everywhere but the two "home areas". Mlb is jacked up

So, about this 8 man bullpen... if the first 2 games are any indication it sorta seems like over kill.

Yeah, I agree. But if Szczur continues to produce with no ML options left, they'll find it really hard to expose him when Baez is ready to return. Might have pull back the staff to 12 because of that.

LaStella still has options. It is going to work itself out. If Szczur goes on waivers, he isn't going to make it through.

I think they'd be ok with just Baez as an infielder back up when it comes to that so presumably they wouldn't pass Szczur thru. That being said, I'm not sure they hurry Baez back at this point. I'd imagine they'd like to see the bullpen play out some first and then perhaps send someone who isn't performing thru waivers.

CUBS WIN IT ALL! Right. Only one hundred sixty games to go to make good on that. Angels are a trash product right now. Won’t be a 500 team by any stretch. Pitching has no depth and Albert is long in the tooth. Management won’t build for Trout the way Washington has built for ‘that other guy’. Don’t get Cub happy yet, or otherwise, you might as well believe in the Emma Isaacs rumor.

Not that he is great at it, but IIRC Szczur also played some IF last season.

I don't remember Szczur's swing being so compact. It's real similar to Bill Madlock's swing from the 70's. I already had him ticketed out when Baez comes back...now, Im not so sure.
