So, in 17 games Rizzo has matched last year's stolen base total achieved in 140 games. If he gets one more he'll tie his career high for a season. He could conceivably break that before may. I find that mildly interesting.

Edit: he also leads the team in stolen bases.... as a 1B. The fuck man...

I was wondering if his SB attempts / success has more to do with having hitters like Soler and Bryant behind him getting pitched more breaking balls then anything else...

That's one of the reasons why I wonder how good this guy could really be. Now there is other talent besides Castro and Rizzo.

One of those head scratchers.. how they seem to click for an inning or two early then just seem like they cant buy a hit or get a big hit afterwards.

Me too but its impressive when the Cubs find way to win games like this. I'm thinking things will pickup, Bryant is gonna start launching hr's and Soler will (hopefully) get back into things here.
