Last year on his contract, team looks like crap, what does teams do to try and get a spark, they make the manager/coaches the scapegoat and fire them to hopefully get a spark....

For everyone saying the Cubs should "burn it all down", which assets would you move? It seems to me that almost all the guys who have value are the ones you wouldn't trade. Rizzo and Quintana are really the only guys who are at the "magic spot" in terms of age, production, and affordable contracts that you could get a real return for. You could include Montgomery there but he's not going to fetch much in comparison. Strop could be a deadline move? But that's kind of it.

He should of done that after the Braves series but he didn't and wont...
Part of why I think he hasnt been extended and whe he will be fired ..
Not a young team that needs to be coddled anymore, Maddon was perfect for the young core, but now they need a manager that going to hold them accountable for the way their playing not give them excuses
