I'll give it to May if nothing changes that Maddon will be the scapegoat and fired
Eerily similar to the Hawks and Coach Q. Wouldn't shock me if things stay this way Joe gets his walking papers.

Can't wait for some AAA promotes. Maybe we will see Maples Mekkes and Alozay.

Question? Why is it Maddon fault the bullpen has been shit? He is not allowed to sign or realease players? I understand the coach takes the brunt but, at this point, this isnt a matchup thing.

Not sure if anyone said better. The pen has been weak for a long time now. Even in 2016 they had to trade their top prospect to address it. 2017 they traded Soler to address it again. Then they invested heavy and again came up short.

All said and done Kintzler looks pretty good again. Saving grace.

Rest are shit to date. Cishek walking to bases loaded is unacceptable
there were a couple on here who said they were better

Team looks like crap , manager in last year of contract, so you pull the change of direction card to try and right the ship..

I really dont think they want him back after this year..
Maddon was the perfect manager for a young team and i think now their looking to bring in someone that more tougher so to speak..

Dismal start to the 2019 season for the last 3 world series champions-

2018 WS Champions - Boston Red Sox currently 1-5 (3.5 GB)
2017 WS Champions - Houston Astros currently 2-5 (4.5 GB)
2016 WS Champions - Chicago Cubs currently 1-4 (4 GB)

Going to a game in my company's suite at Miller Park Sunday. So far I only have 3 Cubs fans going. Not sure I'm really looking forward to it anymore.

Wake me up when they stop sucking, I'll be over there -->

It's not much consolation here but at least the cubs are sorta beating themselves. What I mean by that is the bullpen has pretty much blown 3 of the 4 losses where they were ahead and the 4th loss the position guys had 6 errors. I see that as the better of two bad options because at least if they clean up what generally is a pretty good defense and if they fix what's going on in the bullpen things should turn around. I'd rather be in that situation than have a bunch of issues all over. Morrow is supposed to start facing live pitching soon and you have to imagine the team is going to try and figure out a way to work kimbrel into the budget. Perhaps after the early june draft. Chances are bullpen could be rough toward then.

Strop, Kintzler and Brach have looked fine. I think tonight for Cishek was and aberration. Monty should be fine given more sample size. I don't have a much faith in Chatwood and rosario. Edwards is a giant question but adding in Morrow will help. If they then added another guy things should stabilize if that guy is also decent.

All your complaining the past 2 weeks has done so much to change things. Clearly it was the spark the team needed...

What has your positivity, never calling someone out done? Definitely rallied the troops!

It's a message board man. We have different opinions. No reason to get butthurt over it.

Get a room, you two.

My question is why isn't Kimbrel on a team yet? Seems like teams are interested in him and then suddenly aren't. My guess is either he's asking for just a massive deal, or something's wrong medically.

Edwards new pitching motion was called illegal and had to revert back. So all that work went to waste. Carl was pissed that they waited until the last weak of training to ban his pause.

I'm not going to lie here. I wasn't pleased with Maples set to AAA. So I'm not behind the braintrusts thought process right now.

Regarding Joe:
If you give a guy a box of sand and tell him to build a bridge it is not a simple task.

JimJohnson is the worst poster in CCS history. Worse than Ommy. Fact! Don't lose any sleep ignoring him.
