Crazy to think that if Hamels comes back and you’d make the playoffs that you’re probably moving Q there. I’d go to Q right now and offer 2/36 in mutual options beyond next year. He’s prime to be the next Keuchel.
Moving Q where?

Had a sentence about the bullpen that I guess got deleted. It was something along the lines of if they can get Morrow back and if Kimbrel is able to figure it out just enough, they probably are fairly set.

Hendricks has started three games vs Cards.

23.0 IP
1 ER
13 H
0 BB

I still remember listening to the Cards play by play guy on sorts radio, the Monday after Hendricks shut out the Cards on 81 pitches.

"I thought the Cards hit him hard." :)
Lol.
How’d that work out for them?

OK, you honestly want to continue this childish crap?

I said they were IN first.
You think you are correcting me by saying they are tied.....IN first!!!

They are not in 2nd lace, or 3rd, or 4th, or 5th.

You are seriously "that guy"?? And apparently proud to be!
Yes I guess I am “that guy” Deal with it!

Nice win because you assume Kemp and Castellanos will be active tomorrow. That should get rid of probably Happ and Garcia.

Kemp was active that game. Mald's spot was his. Underwood was demoted for Phelps. Garcia has been demoted for Castellanos. ODLC was DFA to open a 40 man for him.

The next decision is on Weilk. Will he get a roster spot or not. I personally think he shouldn't. That needle is not moving enough on a 6+ ERA arm.

Chatwood is still technically the 5th starter. Hamels is not ready yet in his rehab. So I'm guessing he would pick up a start on the next time. Aug 12 is their next off date. So Aug should be pretty much filled up in games. Off days 12/19/26th.

I have read that Hamels could be activated this weekend.

I agree. He has seen live BP but no news of any rehab work.
I read that he doesnt recover easily. I forgot where, but it basically said, if he does join the team its would be a great surprise and not what they expect.

He pitched Sunday. 3 innings at Iowa. Gave up 3 runs struck out 4
He would be slated to go up against Gio on game 2. If it happens they most likely piggy back Chatty.

Maybe that is what gets Brach off the team. Wick has to be ahead of him by now.

Ya. It would be nice him and Zo in Sept if anything.

I really want to see Nicholas in RF tomorrow. Hell Kemp at 2B would be better than Bote doing nothing.

Wieck has the strangest pitching line I think I've ever seen at AAA

17 .2 innings
16 hits
6 walks
34 SO
12 ER
5 HR
6.11 ERA

So he has a 1.24 WHIP + 17.3K/9 yet has a ERA of 6? That makes no sense.

His majors line is a little worse but similarly weird

24.2 innings
26 hits
9 BB
31 SO
18 ER
7 HR
6.57 ERA / 5.62 FIP

Good thing with Weick is the control through 2024. I just can't remember a guy with that kind of K ability + low walk ability being consistently hit that hard for HR. He's given up 42 hits this year with 12 of them being HR. That's an insane ratio that would never hold up.

Ya that is weird. I would think it was just leaving a fat one over the middle.

I think that I would need to see more live on him. Velocity and pitch selection.

I actually like Wick. He made quick work of the cardinals the other night and has good stuff. I’d like to see him stick around

If you followed the Cubs instead of shit posting, you would know Contreras doesnt catch Darvish and Darvish has been in a groove.

The times Contreras has played in the outfield this year have been for Darvish's starts. I figure a day after an off-day with Darvish starting would qualify for this situation.

Sorry for watching the Cubs this year. My bad. Complaining just to complain and so forth.

I have a feeling that if Castellino rakes in this tour that fans will call for a Schwarber trade and to give Nicholas a contract for LF.

Schwarber can be traded regardless of what happens with Castellanos. That’s been a common point of view for a while now
