Bound to happen. Cubs rotation was other worldly for a long time.

Hammel has a track record of burning out mid year. After 3 years in a row the myth becomes fact. For some reason he just sucks come July. If it is a innings issue or location etc who cares.

I would start looking for a sub unless Warren some how ends up a better starter vs a middle relief pitcher. Then swap

  1. Los Angeles Lakers
  2. Orlando Magic
  3. Phoenix Suns
  4. Sacramento Kings
  1. Columbus Blue Jackets
Fun and entertaining team to watch. Wildly overrated by the media and fans. Just one of 5-6 really good teams in MLB. Candidate for first round elimination all the way to WS appearance. Only "the favorite" by the Vegas betting machine factoring all those Cub fans dollars altering the odds.

I dont think it was a myth considering he admitted to it and its why he changed his whole diet and work out plan in the off season. This is his only "horrible start of the season". He has gone 5 plus in every start besides this one and the one he was pulled early for injury.

Guess if you can take a positive from these past weeks is Epstein and Hoyer are able to see where they need help/improvement and possible upgrades.

The team been near perfect til the last couple weeks

Dont agree. the DVR and picture on Dish is significantly better

Not arguing with you but that doesn't matter to me. After losing service during storms I'm done with satellite, any edge in quality they may have is pointless when the signal can be lost because of a storm, not worth it.

MLB network guys are dumb. I know the game is 99.999999% over, but you dont just call the game when the Cubs have 1st and 2nd with nobody out with 4 innings to go. The Royals scored 7 in the 9th this year.

Just wondering if it's time to get Contreras out from behind the plate...regardless of how he's hitting.

71 SO in 89 IP. I noticed that a few days back. What he was benefiting from was a low Hit ratio. Well below his IP.

But seeing his SO's below his IP jumps out as he is depending on the D/luck more so than punching guys out.

His WHIP was driving his success. But this is bound to happen with a low SO ratio

Why? This is a good time for him to learn. He has young legs.

Not so sure if this is the case. Hendricks had him also and did fine. A pitcher has to excute his pitches still

I was yelling at Maddon to pull Hammel three different times. WTH. He either sucks, or was off tonight. Enough of the quality starts, I'd have pulled Hammel much earlier.

We have Jake and Lester still to go in this series. We got a good chance to split this series still.
