Heyward has two three-hit games, a two-hit game and a four-hiit game in the past 5.

We are in danger of losing our second 2-1 ball game in 4 days.

Gotta hold 'em. But I have a bad feeling about this one.

Basically saying it Not a good thing to have a lineup filled with shift hitters and guys who can't make simple contact when needed to move up that are in scoring position....

He is matching Almora's horrible 3 K night. How many guys has he left on base?

I believe Happ has a lot of potential offensively.

But I notice you constantly criticized Bryant during a rookie of the year campaign and during an MVP season, for having a "loopy swing".

Happ's swing is as loopy as you'll ever see. Why no criticism?

Well maybe someone should ask Smoltz how many teams of slap hitters are averaging 100 wins a year the last 3 years?

Never ever listen to the idiot national broadcasters....they see less games than the average fan and probably know less. Smoltz has probably seen less than 5 Cub games all year.

I criticized Bryant when he DID have a loopy swing. Then him and the hitting coach made changes to make it more compact. This was all documented at the time. So why do I get shit for something Bryant did, then fixed? Just some of you being aholes

Time for a HR to win this.
Certainly not going to manufacture a run.

John Smoltz watched 132 games a year for an entire career, and was able to share in the knowledge of other Hall of Fame pitchers (and a HOF manager). Why do you assume he sees few games?

Nobody who has listened to John Smoltz would call him an idiot. He is as perceptive about baseball as most anyone I have heard. He talked earlier about some great advice from Maddux and what pitchers do wrong with a man on 3rd.

Very knowledgeable and very good at relaying what he knows.

CUB GAMES.....I said he probably hasn't seen more than 5 CUB GAMES. Yet, he feels compelled to give us all the answers to why they're not scoring tonight. Had he mentioned the real fact on why it's 1-1....the plate umpire has a strike zone 2 feet wide which has the hitters swinging at anything close.
