My Dad just told me how Bryant never does anything after being down 0-2.
Welcome to the NL
Please God let Pedro Strop and Hector Rondon get healthy soon. Cubs really need them. It's been 108 years.
The AL has 10 teams over .500, the NL has 8. The bottom 3 teams in the AL are at .392, .419 and .416, the bottom 3 in the NL are .365, .413 and .432. The top 3 team records in the AL are .581, .579 and .568 in the NL the top 3 are .640, .584 and .560. Yes the AL has better competitive balance but you overstate your case.
Strop was throwing a week after surgery. It sure seems like he is pushing too hard.
Not really. The NL as I predicted has the halves and the have nots. When you count IL record which I also predicted it seems to fit my narrative pretty well. In fairness I also predicted that the power rankings would be dominated at the top by NL teams which it is.
Why would that seem like he's pushing too hard?
He's following doctor's advice. He's not treating himself.
Don't hurt your arm patting yourself on the back. Those predictions would have been much more impressive had everyone else not predicted the exact same thing. And let's not forget your offseason-long kvetching about projections showing the Cubs as the clear-cut best team in MLB, eh Nostradamus? On pace for 103-104 wins, they should comfortably outperform even those projections and blow by last year's win total.
