I think I heard he has a better on base than Baez this year. Regardless, he’s an auto-out.

Monday is a off day. They can skip a week and see if either Monty or Yu are ready. Chatwood I believe is a lost cause.

Darvish will definitely not be ready, he going to need more then just 1 rehab start.. guy hasn't pitched in months, im sure he'll probably get at least 2 more rehab starts...
my guess Sept 1st for Darvish

Monty due to come off Saturday, so if he ready, yea itll be him, if not they need to bring someone up

Yea i know the defense but he basically an auto out with the pitcher at bottom of order..

this is a lingering issue with Russell. He throws his bat more than anybody, he was really shaking his hand after one swing and let go of the bottom hand every swing after that. Its in his head now. I feel they gotta give Bote a few innings at SS to verify we have a backup for Baez, if not there is always a shot to pry Jose Reyes from the mets.

Not because Schwarber just hit the HR but wouldn't he have been better in the 5 hole to protect Rizzo over swing and Miss Happ?

Rizzo got no protection in the 4 hole with most these guys Maddon hits 5th lately

I'll admit that I didn't see a ton of his games with the Sox, but the ones I saw were not much different. Doesn't trust his stuff, relies on every hitter to chase while he nibbles at the corners. Just not my type of pitcher and why I was not in favor of the trade from day one.

He nibbles a lot over attacking the hitter, especially when he ahead on count...

Maybe he just dont have confidence in his out pitch..

His stuff is far better than his results. I do think you are both right that it is mostly his approach. I do have confidence he can turn that around, but I don't feel like it's happening anytime soon.
