So every time they switch, they get more warmup pitches, lol.

Ok..
My original responses wasn't directed towards the Cubs but towards Beck statement that it a good thing to be in close games even if you lose most of them...

Kobe!!!!!!
I didn't have a question...To answer your question, they have been entirely inconsistent with RISP. Some games they score 7 some games they go 0-12 or w/e. I mean take tonight. They've scored 2 runs. Giving up 1 run in 5.2 IP in relief tonight isn't the problem. You just have to score more than that vs a bad team.
Honestly I'm tired of talking about the bullpen so this is the last thing I'm going to say with regard to it. All of this talk is prep for the playoffs. The overwhelming majority of teams that win in the playoffs do so off the back of dominant starting pitching. How many teams can you name who had average starters and won based on their bullpen? Only one that comes to my mind are the Royals lately. Almost every other team was a Pedro/Schilling or Schilling/Big Unit style team. In other words, it's not a necessity to win. I've already outline they aren't terrible just more average and I've already outlined they will probably add some help.
Guess its a good thing Zobrist and Bryant were hitting..Not sure how their suppose to scratch out a run with 2 pitchers, Montero, and a couple struggling bats in lineup
