They are one game under in one run games and that has little to do with anything. Stop listening to Special person people.

It could be a problem in the playoffs when the opposing starting pitching is more of a challenge and the games are lower scoring. Why? Because the Cubs biggest weakness is their bullpen.

It's amazing the Cubs are 20+ games over 500 considering they have a losing record in 1 run games.

I'll keep saying this until people realize it but the only games they lose are 1-2 run games. It's entirely counter to what you would think about good teams but the point is the cubs don't get blown out so the only way they lose is close games.

Mets were 25-24 last year. How did that work out for them? It means absolutely nothing. Baltimore a couple of years ago had an insane 1 run record. Bounced pretty quickly out the playoffs. Its a stupid argument because the Cubs are good. People are trying to point to something.

The Mets would have won the WS last year if they didn't squander 3 close leads in games vs the Royals in the 8th and 9th innings.

The Royals were 24-17. Killer record in one run games I know. Would you like more or are you going to keep saying random shit hoping it sticks?

Also, Cubs were 34-21 last year in one run games! How da fuq did we lose to Da Mets?

How is it not a good thing? It means they are in like 95% of their games. Unless they literally win all their games you're going to lose close games.

Winning is contagious. It's better to make a habit out of winning close games. Call it nitpicking on a team that has been very good to start the year. I don't care. It is a concern.

This is kind of game as to why they need a guy like Miller ( whom I think they want not Chapman)..
Strop not available, Rondon had to get 4 outs again

Miller a guy you can bring in in the late innings and having him keeps Robson and Strip fresh and you don't lose that shutdown guy late.. Where you have to turn to a Grimm or whomever late.

Plus having a guy like that is valuable come playoff

They got swept and all 4 loses were by multiple runs. They never had a lead in any game. They never had any momentum. Having a good 1 run record doesn't mean you will automatically win in the playoffs. But I believe if the game is very close late, the chances are more in your favor.

Well, look at it this way. All those games they won by 4, or 3, or 2......if they had given up runs in the 9th and held on to win by 1, that would make them better in your mind, right?

So, it means nothing. Got it. Congrats on saying nothing but conjecture.

And if the potential tying run had reached third and was stranded....THAT would prove how clutch they are.

I think a few of their 1 run wins were like that actually.
