Man, this is a weird bullpen until they get Kimbrel and/or Strop back. I'd almost use Wick as the closer over Cishek since Wick has had professional saves (albeit AAA). The problem people have with Cishek is he gives up all his runs at once so it looks way worse. He's given up his 20 ER over just 11 of his appearances and his other 42 appearances are no runs at all.

To compare, Josh Hader has given up a run in 10 of his 40 appearances.

Yes. Cishek's herky-jerky motion makes it tough to throw strikes consistently. There are noghts he looks unhittable, yet he walks guys. Different delivery, but the same results as Marmol.

Thanks for your thoughts :)
I’m enjoying the highs and lows of following your team (if you don’t mind me saying) :)
However I think of the cubs as the MLB team I support now and in the future :) some real exciting players and the crowd at Wrigley..sounds like a great atmosphere to watch baseball in :)

Cishek looks great one outing and a bust the next outing. Very inconsistent this season.

Makes me sad that it's probably too late for Khris Davis to try and get the average up to .247 as a part-time guy.

Throw strikes.

I can't watch the lead run come to the plate.

Well that's not the best of outcomes to walk the tying run on base with two outs - no one on in the 9th. But maybe they'd rather go after Pinder?

I hate when managers do exactly what Joe did: he tried to let Ryan finish the game knowing that was his last batter but now Phelps is in a far more difficult situation than runner first with runner on second and facing a guy with two HR in the game.
