Way too many Cubs fans have their undies in a bunch over the Montero DL stiint and the Federowicz call up. This is why they got him. You don't bring up a youngster like Contreras, who's in a real groove right now, in April when he's been in AAA for less than a month. Development is still the key with this kid. If there's an injury in July, it's likely a different story. this is not only the right call but the obvious one.

Pitchers have issues when they get an extra day. A lot of them will tell you they felt to strong and their command gets away from them. Could be a possibility here or could just be a rougher start for Jake.
