I think AG is more to blame than Bartman. The Bartman play would have been one out, instead it was a foul ball. Gonzalez would have been an inning ending DP. But it kept the inning alive and then..... And then Mike fucking Mordecai. I'll always remember that guy. For all I know that was his only hit in his career.

Don't type in anger

Trollmund Omeletfreud has spoken....

The trolls attack me first and that's my fault. Good perspective, Solomon

You get attacked for four reasons.....

1)You continually whine and complain about players who eventually make you look foolish in a season that may be once in a lifetime.

2)You start threads about yourself...what the hell is that? We're here to talk about the Cubs, not some tired memories out of your scrapbook.

3)You say the same crap...over and over and over ad nauseam. See first quote above.

4)You make it just too easy to pass up....see first quote above

@BleacherNation: Chris Coghlan to the DL, Spencer Patton Called Up http://www.bleachernation.com/2016/08/17/chris-coghlan-to-the-dl-spencer-patton-called-up/ pic.twitter.com/pgDYyDWUZe

This explains why LaStella reported today...
Probably told him go get a couple games in and he'll be back by Sunday or Monday

All this sounds pretty convenient, doesn't it?

BTW, CSN just reported that Lackey's next start will be backed up a few days plus Lackey is avoiding the press. Not sure I like hearing that.

I am ok with him avoiding the press.

People can point to the Gonzales error all they want -- if Alou catches that ball (which he absolutely would have), we win the pennant. Period. Now, I feel horrible for Bartman and how this has catastrophically impacted his life in such a negative way. And I probably would have done exactly what he did, based on pure instinct. But the reality is, it cost us the pennant.

Same thing for Gonzales, as well. Had he not made that error, we probably would have went to the WS. It's just the reality of the situation.

I don't blame Alou for not catching the ball.

I blame him for his immature hissy fit afterwards.

If Travis Wood gets hurt on a foul ball, the Cubs should cut him. Good lord!

I was thinking about that with all of them
What a stupid way to get hurt, end up on DL, and cost the team a reliever

Hip, hip, Jorge! That ball came a lot closer to the video board than Baez homer yesterday.
