My favorite teams
Bash Brothers? It's baseball and that's what they do.
The roster moves suppose to be made today before the gameDid anyone see the corresponding move to Cahill yesterday since he was still on the roster for the night game?
Yeah, I know.
My question had more to do with "Why the heck do we need to act like little children and nickname a fucking wall just so the cubs have one more reason to be the butt of jokes?"
Maybe that's how I should have worded it.
Nicknames, and catchy little phrases and sayings, and Bryant/Rizzo '16 Tshirts are embarrassing.
Alou was (and is) responsible for the team meltdown.
People can point to the Gonzales error all they want -- if Alou catches that ball (which he absolutely would have), we win the pennant. Period. Now, I feel horrible for Bartman and how this has catastrophically impacted his life in such a negative way. And I probably would have done exactly what he did, based on pure instinct. But the reality is, it cost us the pennant.
Same thing for Gonzales, as well. Had he not made that error, we probably would have went to the WS. It's just the reality of the situation.
You mean they still had another game to play after that one and it was Bartman's fault, too?People can point to the Gonzales error all they want -- if Alou catches that ball (which he absolutely would have), we win the pennant. Tomny LaStella preferred Tennessee over Iowa..
He reported there and is in lineup tonight
All you LaStella fans can rejoice.....

No, no, no.....a thousand times NO. If Alou was even an adequate outfielder, I might buy into that statement but he clearly never was. The only thing I was upset about is that no one in that section of seats even for second had enough sense to give him a shot at it. For what? A $5 dollar baseball? A collection of morons to be sure but there's no way an left fielder of Alou's limited skill set catches that ball.
You want to target someone...try the idiot manager who stayed with Prior too long then when he finally does make a change, he comes with the teams biggest choker in Farnsworth. It was still 3-1 after the error. Dumbass Baker was looking for a K when he should've been trying to get the slow footed Lee to hit another one of the endless hard grounders he hit in his career.
Thats what your 70 years of wisdom told ya, eh?

Alou glove was right under the ball/bartman hand, he would've caught it..No, no, no.....a thousand times NO. You are quite literally 100% wrong. Slow motion analysis has been done of the trajectory of the ball. There is a 100% chance he would have caught it. 100%.
Yes. It most certainly does. You stated that Alou would have caugt the ball and it's Bartman's fault that he didn't. You say it cost them the pennant. It did no such thing. The Cubs choked the next game away with no imaginary assistance from Bartman.Game 7 has nothing to do with this conversation.
