Agreed. Today will be one of the biggest games of the season come early October IMO

With Arrieta going tomorrow, the opportunity is there

Same lineup today expect Montero in Ross spot.

I have watched two of Matt Cain starts since coming back. He is hittable. Need some O today cause the Giants could get some runs today.

I will seriously never get why they don't just let the pitcher catch the ball. When I pitched in HS (I know, not a direct comparison) I caught all the pop ups that came my way. Anyone care to explain why this is a thing in the majors?

They're hitting Cain hard. Good sign. He's normally really tough on the Cubs.

Welp..... it's 1-1 on runs given up by bad ball and strike calls. Please MLB....institute computer ball & strikes ASAP....like next year.

I hate umps, I hate umps, I hate umps

As a general rule, I think fans complain way too much about officiating (in any sport) but no excuse for a call that bad. It was clearly a strike and it's bizarre he called it otherwise.

I'll try

A pitcher needs to do just one thing...pitch, not trip on a hill (mound)

I see that argument, but god damn on a pitch hit that high and in that general area, the pitcher has the best position to catch those
