When was the last time Chicago had 3 championship caliber teams? Hawks are the big thing post Jordan in our sports. Cubs may be elite in a year or two. The Bulls have the talent and drive and maybe the coach change will help them get to the next level.

It's called catching teams at the wrong time. It isn't as if the Phillies were not 12-3 after sweeping the Cubs. So they were beating other teams also.

I believe the White Sox were hot around that same time too.

Basically what the Cubs are doing right now. Not too many teams want to be up against the Cubs right now.

Cards have the top pitching too, Jays don't.

The Jays have to catch the Yankees first because if they don't, that one game playoff is tough especially if Price isn't going top pitch in it.

They won't outhit every team. Pitching always rises to the occasion at that time.

Also, you have to figure that they won't keep this pace up so they are going to have to beat the Yankees up head to head to catch them. Even if they take two of three, they only pick up a game in the standings.

It's tough to catch teams this late in the year. Not saying it can't be done........just tough.
