That injury really fucked up Hamels....not near the guy he was before he went down.
Post ASG:
Darvish 4-2 2.44 ERA 0.78 WHIP
Hendricks: 4-2 2.94 ERA 1.04 WHIP
Then the lefties
Quintana 7-1 4.67 ERA 1.33 WHIP
Lester 5-4 5.83 ERA 1.76 WHIP
Hamels 1-4 6.49 ERA 1.93 WHIP (not including today)
Well it could be a few things but I'm inclined to believe it is 3 guys with about the same stuff and teams are seeing basically the same guy over and over again. Q has more success because he throws a bit harder than the other 2 at this point. Lester has bad numbers but is a fighter up there. Hamels looks lost right now.
So I'm not sure if it is a lingering injury or not but I have seen his velocity is down around 91 MPH and he was hitting 96 last year so a 5 MPH drop is going to do you in.
