Yup good thing we cheered for them to beat the Cards.

The Cubs are behind the Cardinals. Why on earth would you root for a team in front of you in the division? That makes absolutely zero sense. You don't play for the WC, you play for the Division.
You make no sense. Why on earth would you root for a team ahead of you that you can catch? Give me one good reason as to why you would do that. IDC how hot Milwaukee is, you don't chase teams behind you. That's dumbYou going to say the same thing if the Cubs finish the season behind Brewers, Cards, and Nats? I'm guessing yes.

Last year guys like you said 'well if the cubs only go .500 the brewers need to go 19-2.' Screw that. Play the games and we'll see.I mean you don't understand 1st grade level math which this makes a really difficult conversation to have. Cubs aren't winning the division. What would have been preferable is for the Cards to sweep the Brewers which would have given the Cubs more breathing room to snag a WC spot to ASSURE themselves of at least getting to the playoffs.
As it stands now, the Cubs may walk away with nothing.

Well we are playing the games and what I'm seeing doesn't look very promising. Cards have the advantage, Brewers playing lights out, and Cubs suffering bad injuries at the wrong time of the season.
i thought it didnt make sense either.
Cubs not looking good here. Cards lost so you stay 2 back if you lose but now you're tied w/ the Brewers for the last WC and division. If the Brewers make it they deserve it. They been playing lights out.
It never made sense to root for the team in front of you. If you handle your business, you don't have worry about the team behind you. Milwaukee is on an incredible stretch, can't deny that.
