HMMMMM....last year I was cutting hedges on the massive Omelet Estates and stepped in a gopher hole. Next thing I know I'm on my back looking at the sky with blood shooting everywhere. I had cut off a finger tip and most of a second one. $70,000 and 2 surgeries later I was back out their cutting hedges.Moral of the story: It's safer to watch Chatwood

Sounds like a caddy shack scene.

Schwarber will always be a butcher in LF. In a playoff game a manager should be fired for having this guy in the lineup after the 7th inning

What was with the strike calls on balls 4-6” below the zone that inning? That ring up on a obvious check swing by Addi, too?

I understand not using Morrow and using him in the back end but who cares. You have to win now and that seemed like a happy if we split this double header kind of mood.

The cubs gave that game away. The board homers won't care but that was a really bad loss. Better win game 2.

Tough loss.... but if they can get to the starter in game 2 the dodgers used 5 relievers in game 1. Given Chatwood was starting game 1 if they get a split I'd be fairly happy.

Cubs pitching in same boat...
They used 4, and Morrow out with back stiffness..

So, their gonna need 7 from Monty and a prayer or the bats to score a bunch..

Zastryzny Farrell and Bass are the only fresh arms

Cishek and Rosario can hopefully get them 1

I'd still argue the dodgers are worse. 3 of the 6 relievers they used threw more than 20 pitches. For the cubs that was only Strop and Wilson. Rosario only threw 10 pitches and Cishek only threw 14. Obviously you don't wanna use those guys if you don't have to but you probably could.

Yea i figure Cishek and Rosario will be good for 1 inning tonight..
Still feel better if Monty can go 7 and save those 2 to close out the game over Monty going 5 and hoping those 3 can get it to the 8th..

My question now is if Maddon knew Morrow was unavailable then why not use Strop and Cishek to close out the game over Wilson..
Cishek he best most reliable reliever and should of been designated the closer
