I was thinking Bryant was up, and when I saw Heyward, my heart sunk

SO glad to see him do that.

There's a lot of reasons to love tonight's game. But what comes to mind for me is the fact that everything Heywards been through.... i mean it'd be easy for a guy to give up. But just think how great an example he is for the young guys to keep plugging away and putting in the work. His season isn't great yet but if you look at his numbers since returning from his concussion he's at .333/.364/.451 not including the grand slam tonight. He's getting there or may already be there just the numbers haven't caught up yet.

L vs L AB 97 fastball up and Jason got all of it. Fact that he pulled a 97 FB in his eyes is very encouraging. I still want to hold off on jumping to conclusions as it takes steady production to make that moment a every day reality. But everything said glad that happened.

Wasn’t watching. Just following on Gamecast.

Says “In play. Run(s)”. I was just hoping it wasn’t one. Wish granted.

Heyward was batting .139 against lefties.

Just read that Morgan had not allowed an extra base hit to a lefty all year, and Heyward had not hit one off a lefty all year.

Unlikely, but a very welcome sight.

I follow the games at work on my phone. Able to watch my dads tv through slingbox. He changed it when Philly took the lead.

The Cubs have lost 24 games. Only the Red Sox (18), Yankees (19) and Mariners (23) have lost fewer. As the early season postponements get made up the win totals should catch up.
