12 games over .500. The 2017 Cubs hit that mark for the first time on August 30.

The 2017 team’s pace is not what I am hoping for, because I don’t want them to need a similar 2nd half. That’s what burned them out.

Which one? Dive, back or to the foul line. Not sure which of the 3 you were referring to.

Well, when you are slow and don’t read the ball well off tbe bat, every catch is a diving catch!

Just kidding.

But the one in the third was Sarge-esque.

Bet Theo is like, “we could have saved millions by not calling Chatwood”

My thought is push Chatwood into the 8th inning guy. His stuff is pretty nasty and just let him go 100% effort for 20 pitches.

Montgomery has pretty much earned the #5

Only problem with that is 15 of those 20 pitches will be balls...

I agree with bullpen move but they'd have to start him out slow ..

5th 6th inning , ahead or behind a bunch of runs until he shows he can put together some clean innings and control..

If it were my choice, id put him on waivers hoping he'd get claimed and if not ship him to Iowa til he figures it out..

It was a good call. This guy throws soft shit that is tailor made for a pitchers slower swing. If the Cub hitters had a brain cell working they'd forget this guys 91 FB and just sit on his slow crap.

He hits a HR it’s 3 runs. Neither happened. He struck out.

:flipa:

Unfortunately, "real" managers have to make their decisions before things happen. I do have to hand it to you thought...you are real good at making the right calls after the play is over.

No help from Arrieta and the Phillies again today...

Arrieta got roughed up for 5 runs in 6 innings for the loss
