Cue the Q haters with the whole "Good thing Scotty Bowman told him what to do" after the Hawks win another Cup.

Which is laughable. I don't get how people think any team wins despite the person behind the bench.
This isn't saying he's immune from criticism, but it's tiring to hear that someone like Babcock would win 15 cups in Chicago.

Benching Vermette and Teravainen was the dumbest thing Quenneville has ever done, no doubt about it... he must have some good contacts in Denver still for him to pull something so incredibly dumb. But I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, he has two Cup rings, and a third already on FedEx.

I'm planning on attending the one in Nashville next year.
Yeah, it's the all star game, and on TV it's boring as hell, but it sounds like a good time in person.

The most entertaining part last year was the draft, watching all the players get more and more trashed as the night went on.

It's gotta be the D-man who played just 5:01, right? (That'd be Cumiskey)

Yes and no. Cumiskey has been in the lineup for a little bit now, so Q might like that consistency in a way. Obviously the TOI might dictate that it be Rundblad, but in game 7 against the Ducks it was the reverse. It really all depends and I think it is probably 50/50.

Q loves old players... goodbye Rundblad.

I honestly feel much better going into a game if Versteeg is in the press box.

Can Versteeg play well? Yes. 2010 and December 2014 proved that. However, he tends to play poorly a hell of alot more than he plays well.

I'll take what I saw from Versteeg in game 1 over anything I've seen from Bickell this season.

I can do without Versteeg. Didn't like him in 2010, and don't like him now. He is a bad turnover waiting to happen... while he played decent last game and didn't make any glaring mistakes (which is shocking, really), I would prefer Bickell's physical presence on that line.

Phyiscal presence? He runs a few guys into the boards when he feels like it, which is one game every two series, but doesn't create any space with his size and doesn't crash the net. Shaw brings more physical presence with his 5'10" frame.

I might be there as well. I love the city, regardless of their anti-Blackhawks stance. I still felt welcomed there last time I went.

I find it entertaining the same way I find Harlem Globetrotters games interesting--you know you're not going to see anything more than the players the fans want to see dicking around on the ice trying plays that would never work in a real game scenario.

Plus, as was mentioned, the drafts are hilarious--from Lou Mentioning, "It's not hair-gel; it's all natural." to the Sedins nearly breaking down in tyears as they were separated in the 1st all-star draft.

Now gridiron football--there's something nobody got time for.

Someone lost in all the shuffle.... Desjardins is looking like a really solid trade for us.

Him, Shaw, and Kruger have made a really nice 4th line that can hold their own even against other teams' top lines.

Desjardins has not lit up the score sheet but he plays solid mistake-free hockey when he gets out there and he goes to bat for his teammates after the whistle.

While I liiked Ben Smith I think Desjardins was a very good trade in comparison to the Kermo Termernern debacle

Not lost here...he's been great. I miss smith as well but the more Dejardins plays the more I think we're winning on that trade.
