123 pitches and kept his team in it.

Ace is that type. Work horse. Keeps his team in the game. Can't get him out of the game.

Garza said that all 29 teams would want him on their team. There is a reason for that.

OK, so Ace for you would encompass about 50+ pitchers. I agree, he's an Ace

4 of them? No. lol

Did you watch the game? The wind kept in at least two dingers which I want to say one had a runner on base. And that was thru the 7 innings I watched before the Mrs took the remote and I went off to "La La Land."

I watched the whole thing. There werent tons of balls hit hard. Shit, the one I thought that had the best shot was Bonafacio and that ****** died like 30 feet away.

Shark now has the second best ERA in the entire ML and still has no wins. If a ball or two should have went out last night, he deserved for them not to. lol

Yea, it was joke because the Cubs cant win a game for him. The Cubs hit one or two that should have went out as well.

The bonafacio one was great. He hit it with everything he had . Hardest hit ball I have seen him hit as a cub. The of sprinted straight back towards the wall then came hauling ass in. The announcers were laughing like not tonight

But, back to convo. Shark isn't that great of a pitcher because the wind was blowing in. So, that second best era in the majors through seven starts means nothing? Not assuming just asking the point here

I didnt say anyone did. I was trying to clarify what was the point. You say Shark should have had 4 homers against him which I dont believe. I know you dont particulary care for Shark considering you dont think he is a top 100 pitcher in baseball which is kind of ridiculous.

The only thing ridiculous is your post

1. Never said four homers. Four runs I said
2. Said hes around 75 and maybe top 30ish now

Yeah, why is this so hard to understand.

Do you have a total meltdown when announcers say a guy deserves to get a hit on a Texas-leaguer to make up for the line drive out from earlier in the game? His comment was similar to that. Are you familiar with the concept of karma? That's the idea behind his comment.

Seriously, why is this so hard for some to grasp?

I don't think you would be complaining about him if he was pitching for the sox.

2nd in IP in the league. 50 behind Cueto at 55.

1.12 WHIP 28 in the league.

1.62 ERA only behind Cueto who has a 1.31

SO are down at 38.

Well he is doing better than he was. 41 Hits in 50 IP. He is avg a little over 7 innings per game. He is evolving into a work horse.

Again any team in baseball would want him right now as either a 1 or a 2 depending on their best. Anytime you get a starter that gives you 7 IP and runs a 2 ish ERA it is top end.

Now the question is will he sustain it as the weather heats up and the air gets lighter. He does that and then his value jumps.

Right now there is some grey going on with the cold spring. A lot of starters are pushing WHIPs around 1.00 or less right now. 9 SP with over 30 IP have ERA's 2.00 or less.

Strong suggestion of the weather aiding the pitchers early on.
