Another thing I hate about Cardinals announcers: I'm a Sox fan so when they talk about the Sox it's just stating the obvious.

Yeah, that guy playing first with the last name Danks isn't the pitcher. It's his brother.

Nawww I thought that the White Sox would put their pitcher that's on the DH at first.

Beats opposing announcers in 07/08 trying to explain how Danks and Jenks were not the same person to avoid the apparent confusing of the chubby closer to the fit young starter.

I missed that. And now I'm kind of disappointed, because I would have literally rolled off my couch laughing.

Disagree a million percent. Rooney is one of the very best announcers in all of sports let alone baseball.

In your opinion. He hasn't been liked by many since he was hired here. Everybody preferred Wayne Hagin, but him and Shannon didn't get along, or so they say.

Rooney just isn't that liked around here. Maybe that's more to do with Shannon dragging the broadcasts down.

Always thought Rooney and Farmer were a great combo for announcing. Farmer and DJ is just weird, now.

I know certain guys are hitting but must Robin barely play the bench?

Thank god it's Peavy pitching and we might not have to hear Joe call the pitcher a piece of trash and tell him to get the **** outta here.

Pleasant.

For the Sox fans watching, what's your guys opinion of Lance Lynn so far? Like hearing outsiders opinions.

he has filthy stuff.

changes eye level

has a nice curve that stays inside and doesnt hang

he isnt a thrower, he is a pitcher

the only knock I can give him is he is too consistent in being in the strike zone.

he seems to be a 1a 2 starter IMO. pretty nice for a supplemental pick.

Went to the game. It was a really good game a pitchers duel exactly like I expected. When Beltran hit his homer I said the game was over and would end with that score. And I was right.

Just some things I noticed from taking score that I might not have noticed:

Other than Beltran having 3 hits, the rest of the Cards lineup was shut down.
The White Sox had more hits and a better team average on the night.
The White Sox had more chances to score, but couldn't bring runners home.

This game could've been a win for the White Sox easily, but not scoring Rios from third in the 5th killed the Sox.

Interesting that on the Cards broadcast they showed Floyds numbers in his first 10 starts. And then his last 5.

First 10: Opp. BA: .189
Last 5: .358 or something like that.

First 10: 4 HR
Last 5: 10 HR

Something is wrong here...
