True. But hiring Johnson is a big win. One of the most highly regarded up and coming coaches who turned down other interviews and even a job last year to wait for what he viewed as the best opportunity, and he accepted our job (and Caleb). No reason not to be happy about it at the moment but we'll see how it turns out over the next couple years.
He seems competant as an OC....thats a good start.

Today we learned:
  • The idea of going to the Raiders cause of Tom Brady is clearly so amazing. Former players that are owners are very ideal to go work for. Thankfully we all believed those reports just cause the media told us to.
  • Lame duck GM is very bad.
  • Interviewing a lot of people was such a red flag that it scared top candidates and league people were laughing.
  • Caleb sucks so bad that a top guy wouldn't want to coach him.
  • McCaskey's are cheap.
Lots of lessons today.

Oh, and EDIT: Ben Johnson is loyal to the Lions and wouldn’t hurt their feelings by going to a rival.

I heard Chicago wasn’t the best landing spot.

I heard Johnson would not work with Poles.

I heard Caleb sucks so Ben would not come here.

Why would the hottest coaching commodity pick Chicago if Caleb is not the real deal? He saw him twice at field level.

Doesn’t he understand the @Hoodey value proposition?
