It's National Dog Day!

I have a five and a half month old mini schnauzer (Raylan) and a sixteen year old pekinese-poodle mix. I'll post pictures later if I remember.

The little guy was terrified of my older dog the first night - his mommy and daddy weren't as big and didn't have long, bushy tails wagging from side to side like hers when she went over to greet him. He must've thought he was about to be dinner, he just ran under my car and started squeeking like crazy. The next day, he cuddled up to her for half the day then decided it was fun to slap her with his paw. Almost three months later he's figured out that her legs are weak and all he has to do is grab on to one with his mouth or swing his butt in to them to knock her over. The old girl is larger than a mini schnauzer, height and length, and her heavy coat makes her look a lot bigger, but she's only about 14 pounds.

Daisy is by far the best dog I have ever had. So smart and fun but she is a bit of an attention whore. She will walk up to you and start nosing your hand until you relent and start petting her. She is awesome.

She thought I was exaggerating until it was 85 degrees one day we were in my pool and my dachshund was shaking from the "cold". There was a slight breeze and it was too much for him. Mind you he never got in the pool. 85 with a breeze was just too cold for him. Let that dog see his sweater...He goes bananas and puts his head up against me to put it on.
