Daisy is by far the best dog I have ever had. So smart and fun but she is a bit of an attention whore. She will walk up to you and start nosing your hand until you relent and start petting her. She is awesome.
My border collie (assume that's what Daisy is?) does the same thing with his nose but he's actually pretty mellow. He was as a stray/rescue and I think he may not be purebread because he doesn't have that border collie ocd thing. Picture of him (along with my heeler/aussie/terrorist) in another thread:

Border Collies and Aus Shepherds are two of the coolest breeds IMO..If I had some "fenced in" space here, id get one. As it is, everything is wide open and Id be chasing the dog every day as it would be off chasing some wild critter around

I don't speak German.

She's a Maltese
This is my mom's Coton de Tulear. Looks similar to your Maltese.

This is our family dog. Pretty sure she's a Catahoula Cur mix of some sort. She's very sweet and pretty well behaved, but pretty dumb and scared of everything.

We had one of those on our horse farm when I was young. He was fucking crazy. He didn't like our farmer neighbor so every couple of days he would go to his house and shit on the front porch. Somebody hit him with their car. I'm sure it was his farmer buddy.

*Disclaimer* dont mind the mess in the spare bedroom: I didn't have any pics on my new phone so I just uploaded a quick vid. If your wondering why she goes into that intense Stare looking away its because the Neighbors dog is barking.

That dog is fucking serious. Lol. Reminds me of my male GSD that died a few years back. Right at 15 seconds. He had this intense look on his face whenever there was something he wanted to go after and I told him to stay.

Haha, I've seen her Lock on to a chipmunk with that stare for over an hour without ever flinching, its in her DNA.

She'll also chase them up a tree and stand on her back legs, with her fronts up on the tree for hours. Stalks like a cat when they're under the bird feeder. Pausing for a long time while pointing in between each step. She has more discipline than I do lol. She's a giant cuddle bug sweetheart though.
I never have to put her on a leash and she responds to hand signals.

Hunting Little Varmints is her passion.

Dude, your dog is as intense as mine but quite. My pitmix is a gentle giant *****. She outbarks the passerby dogs, but silently stalks the critters that come out of their hidey holes. What amazes me is that she rarely kills a thing she catches and she's catching shit at 10+ years. So far this summer she's caught/released a sqquirrel, possum, rabbit and a robin. She killed a baby rabbit thought and was so remorseful. Just like the last time she killed a rooster. I guess she's a gamer. Pits will always be my favorite cross bred dog. They have so much intelligence and an ingrained sense for pleasing their masters.

Our dogs share very similar traits. Your last sentence is spot on as well.

I must ask, how the hell did your pup find itself around a rooster? You doing some farming nowadays?

The only thing Maddie will Intentionally kill with Malice are Shrews, she hates them for some reason.

She'll catch Chippys and flip them like 10 feet in the air and play with them tell they leave her grasp. She's lays in the long grass like a cat near where the chippys cross all the time and pounces, fun to watch.

I have a pic on my old phone of here laying face to face with a wounded bird that hit the padio door with here nose on it gentle as can be.

When I'm talking dogs at the dog park and people see her move with all that quick twitch they're just like holy shit. I just describe her as an Pro athlete in that regard.

At 5 months old and terribly emaciated she could still bound over our 4.5 ft privacy fence like it wasn't even there. She just turned 5 this month.
