How do you figure. The only 2 years that his wRC+ fell into the 70’s were under Theo. Even Jed said that they tried to make him into something that he is not.

What world do you live in that 110 wRC+ with a career 97 wRC+ is a "great" hitter?

Definition
wRC+ takes the statistic Runs Created and adjusts that number to account for important external factors -- like ballpark or era. It's adjusted, so a wRC+ of 100 is league average and 150 would be 50 percent above league average.

For example, a player who plays his home games at hitter-friendly Coors Field will have a lower wRC+ than a player who posts identical stats at pitcher-friendly O.co Coliseum. The production of the player at Coors Field is deemed less impressive because of his ballpark's hitter-friendly nature.

His highest season was 117 after his first tank. Then he tanked again the next year. But he hovered 99-110 which is league avg to 10% above upto 2012’s turn over. After the turn over he went on a roller coaster ride via the tinkering. With NYY he went back to a 10% above player.

And taking into concideration that he is a MI you take that 10% above. Concidering Baez has never broken 100 and Russell hasn’t either.

Not really a bell curve. The ones that drop below become reserves. The further ones fall into AAA/Japan. Castro was ranked #91 of players above 400 PA’s. Happ was at 113 then Rizzo and Bryant. The rest of the line up was worse then him.

If he was a GG level SS this would be a completely diffrent tone vs a SS that is pushed to 2B due to his lacking.
