You guys hitting any of the Nevada brothels
Union Plaza would probably be the best. But rooms can get expensive. Book now. There is a nice Hyatt but that is pretty expensive. Some of the smaller boutique hotels are not as expensive. Try the Triton hotel. Customer of mine. Rooms are small but it is fairly priced and sits right at the base of Chinatown where you can grab a cable car to the pier.Buy tickets to Alcatraz in advance. They go quick.Haven’t decided that yet? What part of the city do you recommend to be able to see all that in 1 day?
Sounds great. Booking right now.Union Plaza would probably be the best. But rooms can get expensive. Book now. There is a nice Hyatt but that is pretty expensive. Have fun and don't step in the poop.

San Diego is the best part of CA by a long shot. It’s beautiful and I would spend as much time as possible there. There’s also Disneyland and Venice Beach if you’re looking for something more touristy. Santa Monica Pier is also worth checking out if you have the time.
Been to Giordanos a few times in Chicago. Will give the Seasoned Restaurant a shot. Are they opened for breakfast? They have a Giordanos pizza in Denver now.
If you are in Estes, stop by Seasoned Restaurant.
The only time I was in San Diego, Aaron Rodgers bought me a beer in a roundabout way!True story...my first trip to California some locals asked me what I wanted to do expecting me to say the usual Hollywood tourist stuff.
I said I wanted to go to Santa Monica Pier. When pressed why I told them because my favorite intro to Three's Company was shot there. Everyone was shocked for a moment and then thought it was the coolest thing ever. We even sang that stupid theme song on the Ferris Wheel.
On Sundays for brunch.....otherwise dinner onlyBeen to Giordanos a few times in Chicago. Will give the Seasoned Restaurant a shot. Are they opened for breakfast?
Good to know.On Sundays for brunch.....otherwise dinner only
My Son has a friend who lives in Cherry Creek. We will be headed up to Estes Park and down to Colorado Springs. Grub and drinkDowntown Giordanos sucks. Don't waste your time eating pizza unless you're in the burbs, then stop by Big Bills on County Line.
You're probably hanging out downtown so check out Guard and Grace for some real good eats. The Cherry Cricket is a great local dive with some very good burgers. They have one with cream cheese and jalapenos. Sounds weird, but is great. For breakfast, hit up a Sam's and at least get some green chile on the side.
Sushi Den on South Broadway is famous if you like raw fish. It's awesome.
If you're into traditional steakhouses, I do love Elways in Cherry Creek. They have the best appetizer I've ever had. It's called Lambchop Fondue. It's amazing.
Do an early morning jaunt up Red Rocks to see the sun rise, catch a Rockies game-they suck so prices will be cheap, but the stadium is great.
What are you doing for four days? Looking to hike, fish or just grub and drink?
I can second Cherry Cricket.Downtown Giordanos sucks. Don't waste your time eating pizza unless you're in the burbs, then stop by Big Bills on County Line.

Just looking at the Cherry Cricket website......I’m definitely going to that place and Fargo’s in Colorado SpringsI can second Cherry Cricket.
Here's the input I can give base on my own opinions and experience:Over the next 2 to 3 weeks my son and I will be heading west on a little adventure before he has to go off to college. Headed first to Kansas City for a day the Denver and the surrounding area for 4 days. Next will be a day at the Grand Canyon with a stop in Las Vegas before we get to Studio City, California. Next will be San Francisco for a day then back to Studio City and then a trip to San Diego. Gonna get to try Fresh Brothers pizza for the first time.....can’t wait. if anybody has some sites I should see I would appreciate any tips.
Thanks for the input. I wish I were going with the family for the San Diego Zoo. Mainly in Kansas City, I want to try the barbecue mainly the burnt ends. Not doing the skywalk at this moment but it may change. Alcatraz is booked. Here's the input I can give base on my own opinions and experience:
KC: Was not impressed. A co-worker of mine moved from there out here to PDX--we both agree "Misery" is an appropriate nickname for the state. However, I'm not a complete assclown, so please take my opinion with a grain of salt and form your own opinion while there. Some say they got good barbecue. It's good, but I prefer Texas and Carolina-style better.
Denver: was last actually *in* Denver (as in not a layover) I was in single digit age. I do remember it being a lot of fun.
Grand Canyon: Are you doing the Skywalk? I've never been but that's on my dumpster list.
Vegas: A blast. My favorite show isn't playing there anymore (Evil Dead: The Musical). But there was always something fun going on...and not just gambling. My wife and I are fans of Penn and Teller and caught their show. They are nice enough to meet everyone in the audience afterwards and get photos with them.
Studio City (a.k.a LA): Fun. Didn't spend much time in Studio City proper, but part of my wife's bucket list "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" Guerrilla Tour, we hit a lot of different places including Griffith Observatory & Santa Monica pier. Also part of said guerilla tour was Ennis house, which is really close to the observatory. If you're into architecture--especially Frank Lloyd Wright, it might be a place to visit.
San Francisco: Also very fun. Spend a lot of time on the wharf. Our 2nd anniversary we did Alcatraz (her idea, surprisingly enough). It tends to be very cold in July so bring a coat. As a side-trip if you have the time, head south to San Jose and visit the Winchester House. While I'm not too into all of the paranormal mythos that surround the place, it was an interesting tour to see one of the most convoluted mansions ever built.
San Diego: One of my favorite brews, Arrogant Bastard Ale, is brewed there. The USS Midway and all of the ships at the San Diego Maritime Museum was fun. The Zoo is a must-see. Torrey Pines State Reserve was also pretty fun if you're into nature walks .

Estes Park is kinda a thing for my family that is why we go there. My wife loves the Stanley because of the King connection however small it is. And I love the RMNP. I’ve never been up Mt. Evans would you recommend it?Estes is a total tourist trap, but you can find lots of 1-3 mile hikes around the town if you're into that kind of thing. Good views around RMNP and of course, the Stanley Hotel is there as well.
