Hawks acquire forward Michael Frolik and goaltender Alexander Salak from Panthers for Jack Skille, Hugh Jessiman and David Pacan.
I don't see how this improves the Hawks.

It is basically Skille for a potential second line center... I can live with that.
Salak has been the top goaltender in Elitserien as the 2010-11 campaign enters the stretch drive of the regular season. His 1.91 goals-against average, .929 save percentage and 6 shutouts are all tops in the league among all qualifying goaltenders.
He hasn't played center at all in the NHL, and probably won't be an effective center in the NHL for the Hawks either.
Not impressed. We got a finesse forward and added NO GRIT. If anything we lost grit, what was Stan thinking?
We are SOFT!
Why don't you go ahead and go look up Salak then come back and post. Frolik isn't the one I'm most excited about.
