I'm talking about how it helps the team right now. Salak is an awesome prospect, but he's not going to make an impact this season. Skille really wasn't doing anything for us. He plays with fucking scrubs in Florida. Frolik might.

Well it doesn't look like the Hawks have it for a repeat this year so knowing we have Crawford and Salak for years to come is what I'm truly excited about.

Tallon still a Hawks friend is he or did he want his Skille back that badly?

It's a nice deal for both teams in my opinion. Think both guys needed a change and I think we will see good things from Frolik with a little bit more talent around him. Good size Frolik but he like the rest of the Hawks need to be physical starting now. Not sure just how physical Frolik is though. Don't think we gain that eliment from this deal which we need!! Infact we gave a little of it away.

Don't be surprised if Skille does well in Florida either.

Interesting that Salak is involved here. Guess it is a shore up of a back up to Crawford next season? Nice addition getting Salak.

I don't know much about the other two prospects from the Hawks involved. Anyone care to run them down for me?

Frolik is RFA at seasons end too. So nothing to lose here.

I wonder if another move to acquire a physical D-man is coming?

We needed a new Buff, not a Radim Vrbata, this deal does nothing to help us this year. Salak is fine but again, nothing to help us this year.

Are we sellers?

He hasn't played center at all in the NHL, and probably won't be an effective center in the NHL for the Hawks either.

Not impressed. We got a finesse forward and added NO GRIT. If anything we lost grit, what was Stan thinking?

We are SOFT!

You sure about that?

Florida has him listed as Center and I could have sworn he was taking face offs the other night when I was watching the game.

NHL.com has him listed as a Center as well.

Frolik is a winger, always has been on the right side. About the same age as Skille but has scored 20 goals in two seasons. Salak is expendable due to a young goalie prospect from Sweden(name escapes me)and Florida's desire to retain Voukoun.

Tallon's thank you to the Hawks for giving him a ring? I really like this deal.

Well I guess I'm wrong about Frolik then. Everything I've seen shows him as a center. Still a win for the Hawks. Maybe Frolik allows us to slot guys where they belong.

The prospect that Florida has is Jacob Markstrom.

LOL keep dreaming with our Cap Space issue.

Although they trade Seabrook you might get one.

I think he's only taken like 12 face offs the entire year. But he's got to be better than Kopecky at it.

He's won only 5 FO all year, but it depends on how the Hawks utilize him.

I thought he was a center too, but I could very well be, and probably am wrong. Oops.

It doesn't do anything to hurt the team either. Skille has been adding nothing lately, and he was NEVER going to get a legit shot at the top six here. Good for Skille to get out. Frolik, as I said, might allow us to move guys around that DON'T belong in our top six. Like Kopecky, for instance. Hell, maybe we move him back to his natural position at center? Who knows. All I know is, I won't really miss any of the guys we gave up. We also don't have the cap space to add a new Buff... and big, physical guys with skill don't grow on trees.

You trade Seabrook the season is over and you fucked yourself.

Who do they have to replace Seabrook? They have nobody. Why would they trade Seabrook to get a player....like Seabrook? Unless they think they can get like 2 first rounders or something.

Absolutely positive. He was not acquired to be a center -- and if he was, I REALLY question the Hawk's motives here.

Do we really need another finesse guy? Honestly?

I'm sure Frolik will be a fine 2nd line player in his career, maybe even a guy who can step up on the first line... but again, why? I thought it was already established that they wanted to add some grit. I guess not.
