My point is, since when has finesse been our problem? Who cares if we added a 40-50 point player...

How does anyone expect Frolik to be effective if he has no room to move anyway? This team is too soft right now, there has to be more on the way otherwise this move will be ineffective.

This also makes me wonder if Frolik was acquired to replace Sharp.

I'm sorry I'm not optimistic about this, something stinks here.

I'm not pissed we moved Skille, and I have confidence in Frolik/Salak, but unless there is more on the way the Hawks have not improved. The only thing I can really say is that a shake-up was needed, lets hope it lights a fire. Frolik is a fine player but does nothing to help the Blackhawks shortcomings, both being defensive issues and lack of physical effort.

This just in: Jaekel's new favorite player: Michael Frolik. He has a gigantic boner right now.

This was a great trade. Stan unloaded 2 1st round picks in Skille and Jessiman that haven't lived up to their potential or had the chance to do so in return for a versatile playmaking 1st/2nd line forward. Oh yeah he's on an expiring rookie contract so he was fairly cheap as well and will be an RFA so we'll get the right to match or get draft picks back if he's signed to an offer sheet. What's not to like about this deal?

hmmm not sure if frolik is a 1st line forward. Might be a bit of a stretch there Wino.

I've read a lot in the past on this board, from you as well RK, about Brouwer needing to be top 6 if you want to see numbers from him when people were complaining about his offensive game.

as long as he plays physical. You got it 100% correct. If he doesn't he's not worth it on that line.

I can't see a reason not to like this trade, unless you're a Skille fan.

I'm a fan of Skille but this was a great trade. Win/Win now. In 2 years we may be looking at this as a fleecing much the way we look at the Sharp trade with the Flyers.

I'm posting from the shitter.

We'll see if Frolik takes advantage of the talent around him.

Well i guess won't have (no)Skille to kick around anymore.

Sounds like we traded a 4th liner for a 2d liner. No complaints about that. Can't see how that makes us sellers.

I could be dead wrong about this, but i thought Clemmenson was the guy who was going to replace Vokoun, not Markstrom.

It'll obviously be interesting to see what other moves the Hawks make, and to see if any names from the "core" come up in trade rumors.

We'll see.

Skille was a 4th liner for us, and Frolik was a 2nd liner for Florida... that doesn't mean their roles will stay the same.

Unless more is on the way we are soft. No other way around it.

Bolland when asked about the trade said "that is behind us now and you will see a different game tonight from all of us". Not sure how to take that statement.

Who the **** cares about Frolik... Salak is the key of this trade and I'm surprised Tallon traded him.

Well said Stu. Those who do not know about Salak and what his potential is do not understand our weakness

at goalie. I love, love, love this trade.

I talked to Jessiman tonight at the Hogs game. He showed up to play, they tell him not to dress and during

the first period he was told he was going to Rochester (AHL affiliate for Panters). He had no idea.

Money is on hurt also or that vertigo really fucking him around.

Getting a bad feeling that Hossa has some health issues that are beyond the scope of hockey related. I'm crazy in the head though and I see rabbits sometimes smoking cigars. So take it for what it is.

Anyways back to the deal at hand. The "mini Jagr" will be fine as a Hawk.

Quoted for truth. That pretty much sums it up until we see how he does with several awesome top 6 forwards.
