I first noticed it on 2/25...
They are still getting outhit, especially early in games. Nick Leddy still has his shaky moments, so it's fortunate that he is playing with Keith for the time being.
...2/27....
Nick Leddy is promising, and has made huge strides this year, yet experienced observers will tell you he is still victimized too often by opposing forwards and is being covered by playing with the current Norris Trophy holder.
...then, 3/1...
I do not believe, should the Hawks make the playoffs, you will see Nick Leddy playing 20 minutes a game, in spite of the love affair some in the blogosphere are having with him. Leddy was victimized again last night on the Wild's first goal. At 20 years of age, he is a very promising prospect. But there is a difference between that and a proven veteran—even a retread like Cullimore. Veterans make mistakes, too. It's just that the odds are lower.
...and finally, on 3/3...
There are valid concerns about the Hawks' defensive depth—the heavily-hyped Nick Leddy, though very promising, still struggles with physical pressure in his own end—but Campoli is clearly an upgrade over what the Hawks have had on their third pairing this year.
Thats 4 in a row, he's gone out of his way to try to rip Nick Leddy. A mere 19 year old kid playing decent minutes in a HUGE situation..being paired with Keith, is a +4 in the last 14gms where they are 9-3-2. Keith's a +7 in that stretch as well - his best stretch this season.
