Please let me know when I have been recently wrong outside of predicting the wrong year for the lions downfall?

I read the tea leaves wrong, it was 2025 not 2024.

I dont go around making predictions anymore outside of thinking the lions still are a trash franchise and still the worst in pro sports history!
when were you wrong lets see, Gibbs,Laporta, and just because you missed it by a year doesn't make you right, I won't even begin to mention you're trash evaluations of the bears and their picks, or the team in general

I think you meant ‘your’.

The proper use is that you’re butt hurt

According to the discussion in the other thread this would mean that you should place a sizeable preseason bet on the team he plays for next year to win the Super Bowl.
:)

I'm not one to place a bet, sizable or otherwise.

Two rules in gambling:

1) The House always wins, and

2) I'm not the House.

Anyway, why do we feel the need to attack Jalen Hurts?

He seems like a good guy.

Had a pretty decent college career.

Wins a lot of games with the Eagles.

Just won a Super Bowl and was the game's MVP.

So, the conclusion is...he's not that good?

Curious thread topic, no?

Daniel is just dumb and never admits he's wrong.

Jalen hurts is a mid regular season QB but has proven thus far in the playoffs he's got a clutch gene guys like lamar lack.

I can certainly think of worse quarterbacks in the league.

He looked pretty solid in the Eagles playoff run to me.

While I agree Hurts is not "elite", the Bears would be very lucky to have a QB with his winning skill set just once in its storied franchise.

@Anytime23 I guess no one else noticed that Hurts didn’t pass for more than 3000yds but yet they still won the SB.

Coach Curer!

I think some of it is if the OC does well with Hurts, the narrative is "OMG, the OC succeeded with Hurts as his QB!" and they get promoted to other jobs. Kind of like when Adam Gase got a HC position even though he didn't do much at Chicago as OC....the narrative was "look what he accomplished with Cutler as his QB!"

But did he have a few 300 yard passing games?

TBH I didn’t know Hurts didn’t have 3000 yards passing until I saw people on twitter talking about it. Must be nice to win games and not focus on arbitrary passing numbers.

Jalen Hurts has never had consistency when it comes to OC going all the way back to high school.

Yet, he is a winner.

Seems like these days OCs get jobs after working with him.

He's the coach whisperer.

Robert Horry isn't even close to being considered a very good player, but damn't if I wouldn't want him on the floor for me in the 4th quarter of an NBA playoff game.

Was never wrong on gibbs, i said drafting a RB that high is dumb as ****, which it is. This was not a comment on the player but on the positional value

Also I didnt say laporta was bad, I said the decision to trade away a pro bowl TE to just draft another one in the high 2nd is stupid, which it is.

The only "bad" thing I ever said about laporta is that rookie TE's rarely do shit. I liked both he and musgrave in that draft and said it wouldnt shock me if one busts, which was true since musgrave looks like one thus far. Tight ends are always a toss up and its usually a coin toss even in the first/second rounds for them, so getting rid of one that was top 10 for a coin toss was dumb.

When the lions regress to 9 wins next season I'll look like a genius. Still the worst franchise in all of pro sports.

I expected the lions to maybe get Jalen Carter + Jaxon Smith Njigba in that draft, which im very happy they didnt.

Gase’s “genius” move in Chicago was to just take the ball out of Cutler’s hands lol.

Having Saquon in the backfield likely has a lot to do with that.

As does playing with a lead, which the Eagles did a lot of.
Lions had a lot of leads. They still threw for 4500yds. And were well on their pace to do that well before the injury bug showed up.

What are you talking about, where have I attacked Hurts?

The quote you responded to was me making a joke about betting the opposite of what DanielCCS thinks or predicts.

They also had a leaky defense, i part due to injuries.

The Lions had a leaky defense, due at least in part to injuries. They need to put up a lot of points.

The Eagles had a solid defense. That changes how you play on offense.

Context is everything.
