The more I look at Carr, the more I wish we just draft a QB at this point.

Here's the thing. If he's actually that good, Gruden keeps him or he at least becomes too expensive unless we're just a QB away while willing to have other aspects lessened. I doubt anyone severely doubts Gruden's QB acumen and the O is more than one player away, not to mention that there would likely be other subtractions/FA losses/draft picks or players involved. There's so much more to this than Carr currently being better than Mitch. You would be looking at a small window without resources to maintain competitiveness. We already have a bit of that and are prepared for normality next offseason. This would extend the situation.

For Run & Shoot. If you going to watch film probably a good idea to watch multiple film studies and get a range of opinions. Here are some from you to consider.

Here ya go.....I do have more.
And yes....I get it you wanna do everything in your power to prove Carr is THE BEST. LOL
BTW...bcuz I'm objective. I do have footage of Carr....tuffing it out.

Anyway take a look.

Carr is not the best. Just pointing out one video doesn't prove much.

Like I said I would trade more than a 3rd rounder for him.

Well remember I said I have more footage

For me...... I wouldn't give a 3rd.....a 5th to 7th ok. And he would have to compete for the job.

You'd also fail an nfl franchise quicker than anyone in nfl history, so there is that.

Pretty much anything you want to do the bears should do the opposite.

they need a running game. they aren't winning shit without one.

They need an O-line. And a TE would be nice too. Maybe try to get Ridley and Wims to develop into nice tertiary options.

Sure was just pointing out it is not really an ideal running situation if you dont play 2 TEs or use a Fullback.

Although I think the not having time is overblown as Mitch's pressure rate was around league average. It is not like he was top 10 in getting pressured among QBs or something.

Their time to pressure rate was abysmal. They ranked 29th in the league.

From PFF:

Their average time to pressure allowed of 2.37 seconds was 29th in the league, ahead of only the Dolphins, Chargers and Falcons. A silver lining for the group came from James Daniels after he switched over to left guard. Daniels’ 73.9 overall grade at left guard ranked fifth among all qualifiers at the position.

If a bear fan runs and shits in the woods, would anyone notice?

Which doesn't change the fact when he had 2.5 or more seconds to throw his QB rating was terrible at 79.6 and when he did not face pressure he ranked 24th out of 27 with a 93. 93 sounds good except when you realize that the only QBs that qualified who had a lower QB rating when given a clean pocket are Kyle Allen, Baker Mayfield and Andy Dalton. He just isn't very good even when given time and when not pressured.
