Jesse Rogers:
Pretty sure Kompon had a big hand in poor Kings pp, especially before Sutter came on board

Fantastic...

Kompon has spent last 6 years as an assistant coach with the LA Kings

Was a video coach with Kitchen and Q in St. Louis

Who?!?!?

Next! (yawn)

So, when our Power Play continues to struggle, can we state that it's because it's being ran by a Tampon (Kompon)?

Exactly what HawksWriter stated!

Haviland was here when Q took over from Savard............not one of Q's guys, one that was given to him! When Bowman and Q got into it last year, Q wanted more control when it came to his coaches......and BOOOM! Kompon gets hired......all 3 worked together in STL! This was DEFINITELY a Q move and decision.

Q's other poker buddy made his way here. Kompon can't run a PP. He'll fit right in with the rest of the idiots.

Well I have more faith in Q than Bowman right now, so I guess I can live with this move.

(Like my opinion matters anyway  )

I dont care who is whos guy. The upper management should be focused on finding the best coaching staff in their opinion and they should not let Q make his choice because its his guy. Kitchen is horrible, end of story.

While I really don't have an opinion on this hire (Seeing as I don't care much about the assistant coach to be honest) I think it is important to look back at Haviland vs Kitchen.

I think people like Haviland and hate Kitchen because of personality. Kitchen is just a creepy looking guy while Haviland had charisma.

At the end of the day, the PK and PP (assistant coaches supposedly) both absolutely sucked last year.

Hoping for some improvements this year.

that above is what some fans are saying on other sites. wow! just wow!

haha wow, you are obsessed.

I think it is the truth. Both Haviland and Kitchen both ran terrible special teams last year, yet everyone loved Haviland and hates Kitchen. Quite frankly, both of them didn't get their jobs done.

I think this is the last year with Kitchen and Waite(who's brother was a HORRIBLE goalie if I may add). As I mentioned in a thread about Crawford, hire Thibault or the Eagle as the new Goalie Coach. Hell maybe Dominik Hasek should consider being a goalie coach since hes trying to coming back :troll:
