RK, I also heard in the post game that Q said it wasn't as bad as it looked. So lets all hope. I had told Ton at the game..we are up 3-1, watch now they start gooing it up...sure enough...the dirtiest player goes after the person whom had the concussion and who schooled them all night. I also thought that was one of them most horrific officaited games I have attened. calls missed all over the ice. icing at least three times. Kruger dropped in on side of the net in the first, Kane raped behind the net, ect ect. But for Hasen.......Chinese torcher would fit best not a quick death.

Justice, IMHO, would be for Shanahan to tell Hansen he can start playing again when he makes a video taped apology to Hossa for intentionally elbowing him in the back of the head because he was mad that Hossa scored two goals and the Canucks were losing. If he is incapable of being honest and owning up to what he clearly did, then he can sit in the press box till his contract runs out. Justice would also be for AV and Mike Gillis to be fined 30 to 50 grand for not admonishing this behavior immediately after the game. This bullshit from the Canucks players starts with the GM and the Coach. It doesn't matter who goes up there, they all seem to pull some BS on the ice eventually. We haven't seen an honorable Canuck since Trevor Linden retired.

i cant believe after losing the the Cup they didn't finally just fire the GM and coach. Two straight semis losses the years prior and then a first round loss. IF this is Qs last straw their's shoulda been 2011. So full of themselves there.

In some cases the symptoms might only appear the next day or even later. Concussions are fickle that way. Hopefully this isn't the case and he recovers fully with limited missed time. I doubt we'll see him next game, though.

I think that one way to get rid of these cheapshots is that a hefty fine be issued to the offending team. I would think owners/managers would think twice before employing a player that has a tendency to headhunt and do other dumb shit. As it is now it's hard to believe the league is serious in getting rid of this sort of trash, despite what they say.

I was under the impression that the penalty Hansen got was from the scrum after the hit and not the hit itself.
