My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bears
http://www.miamiherald.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/armando-salguero/article192827284.html

He also really likes living in Miami and wants to stay there.

Also Paul Richardson wants $7-$10 million per season and his best season is 700 yards. Bear are better off in the draft.

Where does it leave us?

It’ll be about money. If Landry expects to get the $14-$15 million or so he’d like to be paid annually to re-sign, he’s probably not going to get that from Miami.

The press conference made that obvious.

Makes no sense to pay a WR that much money coming off a 5 win season. Maybe if said player was someone you thought that could get the team back to a Super Bowl or win one, that's a different story. 15 million a season on a slot WR would be a McCaskey move though.

Bears have plenty of money. They paid 18 mil for Glennon lol. Front load the contracts.

Bears fans have terrible memories. The WR group they put out in 2017 was a league worse. TRU needs a respectable WR corps. Nags offense needs a respectable WR corps. 17pts a game will not get you many wins. Historically rookie WRs are underwhelming. It’s an obvious need and a known they will overpay till the rookies are ready.

Stop fucking around and get your future QB some tools. Case closed!

They will have to overpay for a wr. They don't have much of a choice now.

Just because you need something doesn’t mean you need to hand out stupid contracts.

The Bears do not have nearly as much free money as you think as they have 23 free agents.

I don't think Pace is going to bring in Jarvis Landry after working to clean the locker room during his first year as GM.

I think Watkins or Robinson are more likely. I'd rather have Robinson personally, he has a 1400 yard 14td season under his belt, far and away better than Landry, Watkins or Richardson.

So because they overpaid Glennon, they should overpay a slot WR.

You can put together a good WR core without dropping 15 mil on Landry. Do that and you are one Landry injury sway from your WRs being shit again.

No way is Landry worth that. What dumbass would pay $15 million a season to a wr with a lower career ypc average than TE Zach Miller?

Any good player they want to sign will require a stupid contract.

Good players don't go to 5-11 teams on value deals "just because".

There is no fking way the bears should pay this ass clown 15 mil per year.

Nor should we draft any wr at #8

Build the oline

The qb and head coach will take care of the offense.

Just get a reliable wr group with guys who offer a variety of traits.

NEWS FLASH...... there are more free agent WR's than Jarvis Landry people.

If he was the huge difference maker people seem to think he is then why did Miami finish #28 in points per game to the Bears #29?

As bad as it would be to pay Landry 15 mil per, paying Markus Wheaton 6 mil to do absolutely nothing was even worse.

What part of last year's WR corp screams reliable?

Nearly all of the wr's everyone wants besides landry have only had 1-2 mediocre seasons.

Kendall Wright had a better season than any of them have had.

Wheaton, same scenario.

We did this shit last year guys. You act like wright and wheaton were always dog shit. Nah.

I know people hate hearing this but it was a 1 year deal. Landry is looking for 15 mil per, not the franchise tag. No way do you lock down Landry for multiple years at 15 mil.

Wheaton was often injured, kendall wright was anything besides reliable as he has been cut by teams, Meredith was a 1 year producer, and Kevin White hasn't done shit. Which one of these receiver was reliable????

Edit: 1-2 mediocre seasons?

Allen Robinson had a 1.4k yard and 14 TD season, and the following year he had an 800 yard 6 td season. Kendall Wrights best season was in 2014 when he had 1k yards and 6 TDs. So you are just flat out wrong. Allen Robinson is also young, and he doesn't need to be playing the slot.

Terrelle Pryor would be a good cheap option. See if he can live up to his potential. I wouldn't mind taking 2 wrs in the draft either.

Wheaton had just as good a season 2 years ago than any of the WR's these dudes who don't want to pay landry do. Plus, he did exactly what all these dudes want us to sign a WR to do.

Paying a paul richardson whos had one mediocre season 10m a year versus paying a dude whos on pace to set the reception record 15m a year is the real stupid money move.
