I think he'll hit better next season and going forward. But as for this year - I think he's done. He's a .210/.305 guy this season. Sucks for us. But if we win the WS, all will be forgiven.

Players get hot.

If Heyward can get hot (which might mean .280 or .300 for him) for the last two weeks of September and October...then I don't care what he bats this "season."

well, that throw in the ninth inning was pretty incredible that he even made the play as close as it was. Dont see much of a change in the standing still department while at bat, so I think its the case of him thinking he knows best.

The guy is not going to stay hot with any consistency. If he was he would have long before now. I wish he would get hurt because we don't need him and I would rather have Soler in RF that Heyward. I don't care how good he is on defense. He hasn't been perfect and the reason why we were down to the Giants in the first place was because he dropped an easy fly ball to him early in the game.

3rd best defensive RF in MLB, 1st in the NL. Be careful what you wish for. That said he's not going to start every game, particularly in the NLDS.
